Surely in this electronic post-covid world trade week can be done in a few hours??

Via machine learning and computer apis that just automatically trade?

That would actually be pretty awesome lol... we would get like 500 trades in the first 5 minutes then nothing.

So he leaves Port to become the number #1 ruck and will be in the same situation he was in at Port.

Not really. Hickey is 31 by the time the season starts next year. He is also absolutely guaranteed a first 22 spot every week.
With us he has the threat of Lycett and Hayes to contend with. He also has no guarantee he plays due to Dixon, Marshall, Finlayson and MG up forward. There is a high chance we don't stick with the 4 tall forwards. If he stays with us it is highly likely that he is playing some games in the Magpies next year.

Kornes has come out and said that the hawks have told all rival clubs any player 26 and above is up for sale.

Kennett was on sen Melbourne, with a female attempt to cover his arse over that email.

It's obvious they are wanting to clear house for the new coach.

I really hope we jump all over this any of JOM, Mitchell or Wingard I'd be pleased with.
Hawks will want first rounder for either of those.
Nup.
Would bite if they accepted a future 4th

Please please please let it be Jaeger O'Meara or Mitchell we are going after.

Cornes said on SENā€™s Captainā€™s Run on Friday that teams around the competition have been made aware by the Hawks that any players 26 or older are available for trade should the right offer be presented.

Yep for sure.

I feel like people might be misinterpreting my post a bit.

I'm just saying that I couldn't imagine a bloke like Josh Carr or Mark Ricciuto ever jumping to the other side after finishing with one. That stuff meant more to them. I'd say there are a fair few players in both sides now that would make that same jump without much hesitation if it came down to it and made sense for their own lives.

Well Carr and Riccuitto would be offered lucrative jobs as bouncers at the Ramsgate in case they needed anything to fall back on. They wouldn't need to do anything, just turn up and look menacing.

The funny thing is that trade week only needed to be longer because players used to jet off around the world and then trying to contact them with a lack of telecommunications infrastructure in the places they would be made it very difficult and time consuming to go back and forth as talks progressed.

Neither are a problem anymore.

Now its just long so the afl can sell ads

IF ...

you go back to the buzz and noise which the adoring Adelaide Oval crowd directed at Sam Powell-Pepper when he removed the medical sub jacket and ran onto the field of play in the last quarter of the massive qualifying final win against Geelong ...

THEN ...

it's staggering he's basically unwanted right now. Something has happened. I do wonder what it was.

There absolutely shouldnā€™t be for most clubs.

The only reason is if youā€™re a contender looking for the missing pieceā€¦ but all the contenders are stacked for inside mids..

wingard was traded by us for a reason. Sloppy standards, flaky, negative influence and unwilling to do the work. Heā€™s completely vindicated ports decision to ship him since. And now heā€™s older and more injury prone

Mitchell is coming off injury and a slow inside mid in a time teams arenā€™t looking for that type. Dunstan literally had to take a seconds role as a freebie.

Omeara is injury prone.
Theyā€™ll be asking for too much for players theyā€™re trying to fire sale off.
