Yeah that's harsh, and I'd bet my house its wrong. The more likely truth is he wants to stay in SA more than he dislikes taking an offer from the Crows. He has plenty of contacts interstate that would snap up a nearly 200 game player who articulates well for a reserves playing/development role

So he leaves Port to become the number #1 ruck and will be in the same situation he was in at Port.



Hickey is older than Lycett and the Swans don't have a Hayes equivalent. He may not be their #1 immediately but he would be within a year or two. At Port he may never get that opportunity.
