So trade depth?

Worked well last time...
Agree KR,all our Defence needs now is a good KPD.
Our boys in defence apart from 3 or 4 bad games have done particularly well.
Wilkie,Howard,Highmore and Coffield have all had kicking efficiency of above 80 % while Webster,Sinclair and Connolly are in the high 70s..
That's an effective kicking defensive unit.
The majority of those guys above have also defended extremely well.
In my opinion that's a settled unit,no need for change, just to be looking for a KPD

The article on Jimmy Webster on the Saints website doesn't suggest to me that he will be going anywhere

Yep and we won’t improve in our depth. This is the reason we don’t make gfs. We don’t want to make the tough calls for the benefit of the club. Too many passengers.

How do we get a KPD! We need to trade out to get in.
Looking at your list, who is traded out to get in a KPD?

How are we going to trade Webster to improve our depth? Some of the stuff on this thread is just rubbish. If we trade our all our boarderline player we get exposed again just like this year. Takes 40 fit players to win a flag

Just goes to show we have a culture at our club that wants to horde players for the sake of it.
We need to boost our current list and to do that we either draft experienced players or through the draft. As a result of that tough call are to be made.

How do we obtain the services of a KPD without trading?
If not Webster then which defender/s on our list go to get a KPD?

What do you think another club would offer up for Jimmy?

Jimmy had a great season and did a job considering he’s not in our starting 22, you would hope a late 2nd? Depends who’s asking and what they value him as. Also who we have our sights on as a result of the trade.

So if you were to have the view that Jimmy is not best 22 in the 12th placed team, rising 29 and a little injury prone, are we likely to swap him for a pick that will nett us a best 22 kpd?

He might not, he might secure us Owens or Windhagen, but the Ross trade might.
These things can play out so many different ways.

Trade Webster.
Not in our starting 22 and we need draft picks.

Do you actually read what you post?

It's simple. Trade Webster for Bing.

Well yeah. I guess that’s fair

We can trade him next season. Ratts gives Webster 5 Coaches votes each round no matter what. Minimum he collects 110 votes for the season. Oliver won with 114 this season. Then we say to GC "Alright, well give you the best player in the league according to the coaches for Bing".
