I dont pretend to be an expert so retain the right to be completely wrong
that takes a lot of the fun out of it. some could argue you can get paid to share opinions and act as an expert on players despite never watching them at all!

Browne looks to me like a Blakely mk 2 at best. Wouldnt be taking before pick 30, maybe even later

I warched the WA vsSA game and noted that Browne has great hands in confined space . He was getting his arms free to deliver the ball to his team mates . He is a reasonable kick and can go forward and create in the forward line . Not express pace but very strong in the clinches . Maybe late in the draft or possible rookie .

Western Australia’s best draft hopefuls will get the chance of a lifetime with an AFL grand final curtain raiser confirmed.
The West Australian understands WA will take on South Australia in an under-19s carnival match at Optus Stadium from 1pm on September 25, ahead of the main event between Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs at 5.15pm.
A trip to Adelaide is also on the cards for WA’s under-19s squad for the weekend of October 9-10, a week after the WAFL season has concluded.
It means WA will have as many as three opportunities to impress AFL recruiters on the national stage which could boost expected draft numbers to around the 15 mark.

The AFL’s talent department is also working on a clash between South Australia and the Allies, minus New South Wales players, in Adelaide on October 2 or 3.

All three matches are dependant on the State’s borders remaining open, with South Australia currently at the ‘very low risk’ category, meaning quarantine-free travel.

It’s a massive month coming up for WA’s best talents, with plenty involved in WAFL finals which kicked off at the weekend.

The Perth leg of the draft combine will be held on October 17, with 26 players invited including AFL Academy members Neil Erasmus, Matt Johnson (Subiaco), Jack Williams (East Fremantle), Jacob van Rooyen (Claremont) and Rhett Bazzo (Swan Districts).

The draft is set to be a two-day virtual event on November 24-25, with the first round on day one and the rest on day two.
The Black Swans defeated South Australia by 29 points on August 28 in the only official carnival match to date with Melbourne father-son prospect and East Fremantle captain Taj Woewodin, classy Subiaco midfielder Johnson, Swan Districts/Guildford Grammar defender Bazzo and Claremont swingman van Rooyen among the standouts.

Cerra is the one who said dont draft me and is now deserting the ship. ;)
Yeah. But we had someone else in mind if the Vic clubs picked him up before our pick 5. Don't know who it was through. Basically the way we did it we were going to get two of the 3 we were interested in.
Chapman is a similar scenario to Naughton. Let's hope it works out.

My boy Chappy could be anything. I originally wanted him to play centre but at his height he may also be great as a KPF.

Good idea for the WA draft hopefuls to be playing the curtain raiser before the GF?? I would say No as all it does is increase the chance of a couple of our targets getting even more notice than usual and going before our picks. Any chance we can get a couple to pull out due to hamstring awareness or general soreness.
