Yeah but the risk is, will he be that ball dominant playing against blokes as opposed to kids.
He will need to learn to buy in defensively. But I am not too worried with this kid because his frame looks like he could bulk up like a Kouta type. With his speed and power he could be a different animal all together

I have access to the full testing data.

There’s not much between them. Sheezel didn’t test at the combine and some of Rachele’s final testing was limited.

Sheezel has one of the best engines in this draft (sub 6 minute 2km) at a level comparable to Oli Hollands. He’s also got elite agility and would have ranked in the top handful in the agility test for the last few years.

Rachele has an excellent vertical and also quite a good engine.

Rachele is slightly quicker over his 5/10m splits, but less agile (still very good agility though, Sheezels is elite however)

Both averaged abnormally large disposal amounts for stay at home medium forwards. Sheezel is 5.6cm taller than Rachele and his aerially ability for his size stands out on paper there.

Quite comparable really. Worth saying Sheezels one game in the midfield for the Dragons he amassed 37 touches.

Both of their tanks are overlooked in discussions, they get up and down the ground ALOT l, hence their disposal numbers for “small” forwards.

Sheezel broke the score involvements record in the NAB league this year, or I should say, shattered that record.

Rachele only got 4 games in and averaged 2.8 goals per game vs Sheezels 2.6 goals per game across his 14.

Both will be top liners, I think the conversation is “would have Rachele gone in the top 3/4 had he had the full season” (he was the u16 carnival MVP remember) rather than “Rachele went at pick 6 and is similar to Sheezel so this draft is by extension weaker”

I'm a fan of Sheezel but I don't think he's going top 3 in many drafts outside of this one in the last 5 years. Maybe 2020 but that was a bit of a Covid crapshoot with Phillips somehow becoming the #3 pick.

You must be a hard judge, a permanent forward that kicked close to 50 goals across all comps this season, runs a sub 6 minute 2km time trial, a top 5 agility score across the last 4 draft classes with this statline from his full champion data extract:

22.3 touches, 4 marks, 2.5 clearances, 2.6 goals, 3.2 score assists, 9.5 scoring involvements, 3.8 tackles, 147 ranking points from 14 games

The above would be a amazing statline for a guy that played in the middle all season, let alone one that played from the goal square for 90% of it.

Cal mentioned in the podcast I posted earlier that he saw him train the other day and he looked to have already bulked up since the season ended.

I didn't know he was an elite runner until today.
I want him even more.
Elite skills, elite runner and agility, kicks goals.

What more could you want?
Does he tackle?

Unfortunately he’s still being linked to my club, honestly would take Clark or Ginbey/Hollands over him.
I can't believe you guys wont take him. He's not good defensively but that can be learnt.
He plays both inside and outside mid and picks up possessions at will. If he'd played the full year I've no doubt he'd be firm top three.
He also runs like a rabbit. He doesn't tackle much but when he has it he rarely gets caught. And he gets it a lot. His kicking isn't usually pinpoint accurate but it's effective (he doesn't spray many at all).
Lunacy not to go for him. If Ashcroft/Wardlaw/Sheezel are gone he's the CLEAR number four.

Have you always felt this way? Mackenzie has been the golden child of this board for the last 4 months. Until word got out that we we're more likely to take Clark.
There is no consensus on this board. Never has been. Of certain posters 'yes' he had been favoured

Yes, you are right, it is strange comments to make that would not be good result, considering at one point he is only one we should take, all the rest have their flaws. Everyone saying he is exactly what we need, someone that can kick, hit their targets, get big numbers in the middle, likened to S mitchell himself. I suspect for most people if any of 4-5 players mentioned here and by Cal are picked, most people should be happy. It is so hard to know after a few years though.

He's going top five in every draft.

It’s more so he doesn’t suit our needs, we need a Phillipou/Humphrey profile. Tsatas is too similar to Parish, Merrett and Shiel. He’d make more sense for your mob as you need an explosive mid.

That is a poor result for us. McKenzie not worth pick 7. Would rather take Ginbey
McKenzie is the stereotypical Hawthorn player during your three peat domination period, super clean with his hands/elite kick, I’m surprised you wouldn’t want him as he suits the philosophy of player Mitchell will try implement with your young core of talent.

Tsatas reminds me a bit of Sinn - both taller outside midfielders (Sinn even more outside) who were touted as a top 3 pick leading into the season, both had injury issues and then both look like they'll slide due to similar perceived weaknesses.

No way Tsatas slides as much as Sinn of course.
