McKenzie is the stereotypical Hawthorn player during your three peat domination period, super clean with his hands/elite kick, I’m surprised you wouldn’t want him as he suits the philosophy of player Mitchell will try implement with your young core of talent.

Mackenzie would compliment our midfield really well. We have some big bodied youngsters that are developing, now we need that real class ball use.

What we need to remind ourselves (myself included) is that we’re building a team to win finals, not H&A. If our assessment is that MacKenzie has more poise under pressure, clean hands etc than I’m all for it.

As someone mentioned above it’s the quintessential hawthorn midfielder during our dominance. Has the sort of skills that are invaluable during finals

Must be just me but get very strong Jack Billings vibes with McKenzie

Tsatas reminds me a bit of Sinn - both taller outside midfielders (Sinn even more outside) who were touted as a top 3 pick leading into the season, both had injury issues and then both look like they'll slide due to similar perceived weaknesses.

No way Tsatas slides as much as Sinn of course.
They are not that similar. Sinn is a HBF and always will be

If we'd legit pick McKenzie over Tsatas surely we'd trade down with Saints to a) increase draft capital and b) prevent Geelong from getting him
Exactly! I would expect a trade to happen on the night if we rated Mackenzie over Tsatas and he was available at our pick.

Also I don’t believe for a second that we’d pass on Tsatas

why wouldn't we pass up on tsatas? apparently we have said no one can kick well except mackenzie, unless can teach them to kick. you are probably right though, someone rated 3rd best, still available at our pick.

So you reckon when we look back on this draft in 5+ years time there won't be one tall in a reordered top 10?
That depends on what you mean by tall. Some of these kids playing midfield are at or over 190cm.

If you mean KPP, sure there may be someone that pops up.

Exactly the player we need. Looks ultra professional and consistent. Elite kick and spread from stoppage.

isn’t this a forum for a lot of people who mostly don’t know what they are talking about.
Yes, however I’m an exception to that rule.

I was clinically diagnosed 27 years ago by a Tibetan Yak Shepherd named Gupta, in a small village in the Gyirong Valley, Tibet Himalayas, near Nepal as the “all knowing one” - to paraphrase, he clearly said to everyone present - “This Man Know”

Allegedly, some people have suggested that Gupta, who also worked as a Mountain guide, was referring to not allowing me to go past base camp on a climb to Everest due to injury, meaning “This Man No” - but I know he meant This Man Know.
