All other selections to be held on Tuesday November 29.
The pre-season and rookie drafts will then take place at 3pm (AEST) on Wednesday November 30.

A bit off topic but I can see us making a hard play for pick 1 next year regardless of where we finish.

If Reid is as good as everyone is saying then I don't think anyone would give up pick 1.

Ya I've only heard one piece of news and it was that Jhye was the guy.

What i took from the interview is that we are very likely to do some trades on the night.

Not sure why you've quoted my post, unless advocating Sam should make the call over MM? Perhaps you're using it as an example of why Sam wouldn't override the recruiting team. I'd agree with that.

Anyhow, I disagree regarding pick 7.

Pick 7 should absolutely be treated as a pick we can't duck up.

Don't really care about past examples of busts.

We need to nail this pick. Based on last year, I'm confident we will.

Yep, the pick is crucial. Whether we trade back or take it, either way we cannot afford to make a mistake here with whoever we end up taking. It should go without saying that we cannot afford to mess this up.

I think we'd still take whoever is left on the table, which in this case would be Phillipou should Saints trade up to Essendon's spot.

With how many people have confidently said we're taking such a range of players, I reckon there's only one thing we'll know for certain. Everyone outside MM, Sam, and the recruiting team has no idea what we will do. We'll have the game solved for pick 6, and the rest of the world will find out what that is when we call it out Monday night. Before then I won't trust a single thing any of these insiders say.
