I'm in two minds between Macrae + 2 x browns they all did pretty well yesterday. You prob could drop WHE/McCreery, but on a marvel deck, they may want Beau's pressure up forward.

With Maynard (if) and Roughead missing, I'd like to see Ruscoe playing, perhaps at the expense of McCreery.
My line-up is remarkably similar to yours,,,, can we get a Round One Team thread started?

Yeah, we should. I base my best 22 on round 1 at this point, because who knows best 22 team will change through the year.
I don’t watch much football. Was the GWS performance by Cox an aberration, that you’d write off? Like Ponting making a duck?

I do think he'll get another chance. It wasn't a great day for cox thats for sure.
No room for Poulter? I reckon he would be useful in freeing-up the Daicos bros to play more midfield minutes, to cover for Lipsinski's likely absence. I'd have him in ahead of McCreery.
Who replaces Krueger? Darcy Cameron? Ash Johnson?

Lippa will be fine for round 1.
Also seems they want Josh permanently on the wing.
Johnson I'm convinced is injured. Or is MIA for some reason. Well, Mihochek comes back in. But yeah, Cameron definitely an option.
Poulter prob needs to add something else to his game apart from wing. But he has time. Its all about development for him and the other kids if there isn't room and they aren't ready.

The Hosk spot is clearly the shaky spot in the 22, the other selection decision i am struggling with is Henry V Johnson for that mobile 3rd tall.

throw Freddy Kreuger into the mix...

For me there's probably 3 interesting selection dilemmas assuming everyone is fit for the rest of this year.
Grundy/Cameron/Cox: Assuming only two of these three will get selected. I'd love to try Grundy as an inside mid and play all three but know it probably won't happen.
Ash/Ollie: Hopefully Ash can stay in the team and keep putting pressure on Ollie's spot. I don't think we'd play them both in the 22 this year but it would be great if they can't find a way to drop either.
I also feel like Carmichael might be able to give us more of what we need than Lipinski. I might be judging Lipinski too harshly at the moment, but he started in the centre square multiple times on the weekend and offered almost nothing while in there. Going to watch him closely when I watch the replay, never feels like he is as influential as his stats would suggest.

Nice. Can't fit them all in but come September I'd love to have Coxy in the 22. He just has the capacity to rev up the crowd and do something to set us alight like few others can .
Ii won't forget the noise and passion he evoked simply taking marks in our defensive 50 in the Queen's Birthday clash. The crowd were leaping to their feet as though he was Coleman marking it in the goalsquare to win the game
It's a rare gift and he has it.

Roughead is a massive loss, Moore gets locked in the goal square and we lose Howe as an interceptor, we'll be all over a key defender in the off season you'd hope
