Never too early yeah?

Harry Lemmey
199cm/93kg
West Adelaide/South Australia
30/1/04
Key forward

It was an exciting season for the talented tall forward in 2021, with Lemmey's performances in West Adelaide's under-18s side seeing him elevated to their League team, where he played two senior games. At under-18s level, he booted 17 goals from seven games, including kicking three goals in each of their finals games (including a 20-disposal and 12-mark display in the preliminary final). Looks a standout key forward option in 2022.

I'd love Lemmey. Would go well with our ever-growing legion of SA boys

Actually, think our future picks are tied to Hawthorn, Richmond and Bulldogs.

spewing we had to use Adelaide’s pick to upgrade 2 spots in the draft and not able to use the Dogs.

Didn’t we get a future 3rd from north? In exchange for pick 36?

Apparently it was the Brisbane F3 we gave up to move up to take Arlo Draper. Its value would have been similar to the F3 of the Bulldogs. The Hawks pick is likely the most valuable one and we still have it.

yeah thats correct.

The one we got from north is tied to the dogs unfortunately

So for 2022 we currently have:
2, 41, 43, 51,58

Lots of options in 2022, Jen

trade out our picks for a gun / trade up / trade our 2023 into 2022

going to be really exciting at the end of next year

Exactly, plenty of options. Easy to trade into the 2nd round too, by trading out the 2023 2nd rounder. Or using one or two of the thirds. Definitely good options to have.

I’m always sceptical rating a player on their under 19 form if they are physically more mature than everybody else. He’s a beast!

Limited to KPP but:

Jedd Busslinger
One of 2022's leading key defenders, Busslinger is an elite intercept mark and uses his early read of the ball in flight to perfection. He attacks the ball aerially and is freakish at plucking the ball out of the air. With ball in hand, Busslinger is a composed and reliable distributor, while defensively he is competitive and able to limit the influence of his direct opponent.

Isaac Keeler
A part of Adelaide's Next-Generation Academy, the Crows won't have first access to Keeler if a bid comes in the top-40 in 2022. Keeler is one of 2022's most exciting and freakish key forwards as a high leaping, smooth moving athlete at 198cm. He has strong hands overhead and is impressive with his one-touch cleanness at ground level.

Harry Lemmey
The favourite to be the first key forward selected in the 2022 draft, Lemmey at 202cm enjoyed a strong season and finished it off in fine form with three goals in each of his finals, including 12 marks in his last match. Most threatening leading up to the ball, Lemmey demonstrates an insatiable appetite for the ball, displaying an exceptionally high work rate and routinely generating meaningful separation on the lead.

#21 Will Elliott (Oakleigh Chargers)

The athletic young ruckman from Oakleigh Chargers had some real eye-catching moments both in the ruck and up forward. He had plenty of good moments on every line, with a strong contested intercept mark on the last line in defence during the third quarter and a nice bit of play in the last quarter showing good agility under pressure, along with good composure to then handpass to a teammate to set up a goal. Elliot might not be a starting ruck for Metro at the championships but he was able to show plenty of traits behind the play and up forward to make him a potentially versatile prospect at 200cm.

#24 Matthew Jefferson (Oakleigh Chargers)

Does this kid have sticky hands or what? Seemed to mark any ball that was in the air within 10 meters of him, seriously challenging the Country defence as they rotated players constantly in an effort to disturb his aerial impact. Two of his three goals came directly from contested marks, and what would’ve been five or so scoring opportunities created from kicks he earned from marks. His ball use was good as well, putting it in front of teammates to run onto easily and take it on the chest. His three goals obviously suggest his set shots are reliable when he’s in range.

#26 Olivier Northam

While his numbers (nine disposals, four marks, one goal) may not jump off the page, Northam had some memorable moments on Sunday. The bottom-aged ruck spent a good amount of time forward with primary bigman Toby Conway returning, which allowed him to showcase his strong lead presentation and clean marking ability. With a knack for flying high, Northam almost pulled down a speccy in term three and booted a goal in the same period, beating his direct opponent one-out in the goalsquare. He also competed well at ground level, making for a well-rounded effort.

I thought we used the Brisbane R3 pick as part of the deal with Geelong that got us Draper.
