Not having dixon will force our brain dead coaches to try to coach.

Will be a fundamental change in every single philosophy we've been concrete on since he got here.

Good.

You have too much faith in our coach. Let's face it, Ken Hinkley is the Joe Biden of AFL coaches. Never underestimate the ability of our coach to flock things up.

That's a wildly confusing comparison.

I'd say he's more of a Scott Morrison, no one really understands how he got there, and there's no reasonable answer for why he's still there.

Some serious underestimating of Dixon's influence ITT. It's terrible news. Hope the big fella recovers quickly

Fantasia I'm less concerned. Wasn't exactly an unknown that this would happen. Thus far that trade is a loss.
No at all. Dixon is much loved and abilities appreciated ... It's the use of him that is the issue, and sadly it might have to take this injury for Ken and his forward coach to come up with something else other than "Bomb it to Dixon!"

Won’t they just make the next in line stand there holding 8 blokes trying to catch the ball with 1 arm? That’s actual the backup plan if we know Ken.

Got told Dixon is not too bad. Will be right round 1.

So you're telling me the pages and pages of chicken little posts about an injury that we don't know the details of two whole months out from round one will probably turn out to be for nothing??

potentially, yes. Just sharing what i heard. He could also very well have had his leg amputated too, but i trust what i heard.

I reckon most saw it as a positive 😂.
I was looking forward to seeing what post Dixon Port would look like.

Get vaccinated Tredders ffs

It wouldn't matter if Dixon was ready for round 1 or done for the year. There will be no change to our forward structure. Those calling for change under this head coach or coaching group are fooling themselves. Remember the first half of 2019?

Assuming Fanta can still run, albeit with minor discomfort, then it must just need removal of bits of floating bone. Minor op.

You would imagine that would be recovered from in 6 to 8 weeks.
His bones must be made out of chalk.

Dude has bits of floating bone removed everytime he locks eyes with a surgeon.

He went through all this last year and it took months for him to get back from a minor knee thing. There's no telling what issues he has. The other major risk is that being made glass, and not getting in a full uninterrupted pre-season in means he'll be a huge risk for other soft issue injuries.

Personally I think the only reason the club comes out with this sort of info is because they are significant injuries and these guys will be visibly absent for a long while. You'd have to think Dixon & Fantasia could both be 6-8 weeks on the sideline which has them on track to be possible for round 1, but you'd suspect unlikely.

The idea of no Dixon changing the way we play has merit, but it also puts a LOT of pressure on our younger kids to step up. Instead of Harris Andrews playing on Charlie he's going straight to Marshall and cutting him out completely.

Harris Andrew's already ****s on dixon anyway so it won't exactly be a change.
