Plus mcgrath was 35 when he did it Charlie's 31 and has been skating on thin ice on the injury front for a decade.Oh well pretty close. My memory ain't that good these days.
Yep fair enough and agreeNo at all. Dixon is much loved and abilities appreciated ... It's the use of him that is the issue, and sadly it might have to take this injury for Ken and his forward coach to come up with something else other than "Bomb it to Dixon!"
I feel that the role Dixon plays can be played by someone else just as well, if not better.*much loved
I love winners and blokes that tear finals apart
I don't think all his shortcomings are coaching related, I'm probably too hard on him I just don't care anymore.I feel that the role Dixon plays can be played by someone else just as well, if not better.
Not really Dixon fault, he’s been given a sh*t role for his skill set.
Oh **** no!I fear more of the classic kick it to pocket, get it out and score from stoppage.
Our strategy appears to be in response to Richmond's gameplan of attacking from defence. They would lose centre bounces, intercept the pressured inside 50 and then score on transition. By always bombing to Dixon you shut down that avenue of attack through transition and he doesn't get intercepted against much if ever. We've seen this effectively shutdown Richmond's offence, with the flip side being our offence is less potent / less structured at producing scores. No at all. Not sure about that.Another step closer to Stinkly gone
But we had Tredrea?Same thing was said about Primus when he went down in ‘04
I mean as a leader, his dominance, he was the best player in the comp when fit (watch First 20 mins of the Brisbane game at Footy Park) “No Primus, Port aren’t a Chance of a flag.”But we had Tredrea?
Ah not the same.
Port practiced that in 2003 - No Primus, Francou and James in September, just like Brisbane would have struggled with no Keating, Black and Voss in any of their four September campaigns.I mean as a leader, his dominance, he was the best player in the comp when fit (watch First 20 mins of the Brisbane game at Footy Park) “No Primus, Port aren’t a Chance of a flag.”
So last years leading goal scorer and the year before, All Australian, and we have someone else who can play the role as well.I feel that the role Dixon plays can be played by someone else just as well, if not better.

The role is shit, not the player. So last years leading goal scorer and the year before, All Australian, and we have someone else who can play the role as well.
Who the f… would that be?
So what role would you have him play? The role is sh*t, not the player.
So what role would you have him play?
Assuming that is an attempt at humor?I’d have him leading as a decoy rather than as a target.
That’s pretty much most peoples take is it not?
No.Assuming that is an attempt at humor?
OuchhhPost-season surgery list: (For reference)

Bergman undergoes shoulder procedure
Third-year midfielder/defender Miles Bergman has undergone a follow-up procedure to stabilise his surgically repaired right shoulder.www.portadelaidefc.com.au
In simple terms, not at all.Assuming that is an attempt at humor?
So your No1 forward, and therefore your targetted forward, who leads your goalkicking on numerous occasions is an AA in a team that has been top 4 for the last 2 years would be better if used as a decoy? In simple terms, not at all.
