Yeah amazing how many goals he kicked in VFL this year playing in the back pocket hey...He immediately becomes our best midfield kick the day he walks through the doors if he lobs with us. I mean 3 goals in one game from the back pocket is a pretty amazing effort...

Zero chance of Jack Bowes happening, that's a BF fantasy of 20th Sept 2022, nothing more, nothing less.
Seedsman is likely to be moved to the rookie list, then placed on the inactive list. His rookie position would then be filled via the PSSP or MSD - but it could be a KPD or KPF so you could end up being correct there (in a roundabout way).
Players supposedly linked to trades are Crouch, Frampton, Rowe & Sholl, with McAsey more a case of wishful thinking. Pretty much no chance of anything happening with Hately, Hamill or McPherson. It remains to be seen how many contracted players we end up trading.
If Bowes is included in a deal with Rankine, it likely involves pick 5. I'm not suggesting that's a balanced trade, but I do feel GCS aren't going to cop a future first and they will want to get creative.

I'm happy to pay out a contracted player that just isn't going to make it. Obviously the cheaper the better but if it's Murphy, Hately, McPherson or Crouch then so be it.
Imagine being stuck with one of these playing all year in the SANFL when, with a bit of creativity, we could have made a spot to bring in a quality salary dump player or even Hollands.

Gollant, Parnell, Himmelberg and Hinge were signed during this season. That was 2 too many.
I would have signed Hinge and one of the other 3 ….. most likely Himmelberg, least likely Gollant.
I love Hollands and think we should chase him when he’s OOC, but why are we even bringing him up?

With all teams having limited list numbers still, we're not going to find it that easy to trade away contracted players.
We also will find it hard to delist contracted players - I believe their pay out needs to happen within this year's salary cap, otherwise they continue on our list if we're paying them next year (or including them in salary cap figures).

That's the heart of it.
I think we see what market there is for Crouch, Sholl, McAsey and others but I'm not imagining a lot.
We probably want one more transaction (probably Sholl?), so we can have Rankine, Michalanney and two picks.
If we manage to move two players, perhaps we get in the trade market for someone else.
- Brown retiring takes us to 36/6
- Strachan and Butts upgrades takes us to 38/4
- Davis delisting takes us to 38/3
- Delisting and re-rookieing Seedsman takes us to 37/4 (one pick)
- Trading Frampton takes us to two picks
- Delist/trade Rowe takes us to three picks.

might be better to push GC now as part of the rankine trade if they keep insisting on this pick 5 rubbish
if we cant get phillipou cos pick 5 is traded, hollands needs to be part of it IMO.

Yes, but it doesn't necessarily open up more picks. It COULD be done just by delisting and re-rookieing, and shuffling the numbers of main and rookie list players.
The way it opens up an actual spot is you delist Turner and only re-sign him when you move Seedsman to the LTI list, which wouldn't be a bad play.

I'd keep Turner on the list. I'd happily move someone like McPherson to the rookie list if it meant opening up an extra senior list spot

Every year there are trades made that completely mystify me. The trades that saw PAFC get those 3 picks in the 2018 draft, Treloar to WB, Smith then Shiel to Ess. And the inevitable el cheapo trading of Hopper and Taranto to Richmond.
I want some of that action!!
