What would someone pay for a young ruck who can't get a game past young top ruck in the comp. Pick 24 seems overs but it comes down to the needs of the clubs.

You don't have many state dominate young Vic rucks who have afl experience, or you go to the draft and wait 2x years plus hoping your pick comes good.
24 is overs and 49 is unders.

F2 might be a good get.

Teams generally overrate their chances for the following year.

I think the 2nd round is going to be our drafting sweet spot for a while. We want to draft players with lots of potential, but need a little time to develop. It’s going to be difficult for a draftee to crack the B22 in their first couple of years, so in many ways what we don’t want is players coming in with expectations. We don’t want to be Geelong trading away Clark for more opportunities. I think hoarding second round picks in a good draft year is good for the sustained success model.
We've also tended to do better with later round picks than earlier round picks - so while I'd love to get top ten picks, if we start playing finals regularly that isn't likely to be realistic.

So, keep finding Luke Ryan, Lachie Neale, Schultz, Switta, Sean Darcy, Brennan Cox types. Every one of them was second round or later (in some cases much later than second round). We can do this...

2023 1st, 2023 2nd, Logue and Tucker to North for their 2023 1st and 2023 2nd.
Nah, reckon this is what we'll end up with.

Lobb, F2 (Freo) > 15, F3 (WB)
13,15 > Jackson, 50
F2 + 55 > Logue
50, Meek > 24
Tucker > F3 (North)
F3 (North) > Sharp
F4 (Freo) > Corbett
28 > Acres, 55

2022 ND: 24, 28, 72 (Hamish Free)
2023 ND: 1st, 2nd (North), 3rd (WB)
Do not discount Eagles getting in Sharps ear. Corbett is a Victorian getting interest from a few clubs over there so lots of doubts that happens.

There are other options I suppose (I'd settle for a swap of future 2nds as well) but I just think North say stiff s**t, we dont need to...
A bit like we might do with Melbourne.

The club has decided to leave Logue un contracted and uncertain about his future with us, including what position he may play.

Leaves us vulnerable. North look like they are going to walk through that open door and grab him.

It appeared to me that most of the players and officials attending, the later the night went on, the more drunk and disinterested in listening to the vote call it become.

I remember towards the end during the round of votes Gil had to ask people in a grumpy way to sit down. The people there just talked over him the whole night.
That's because he's a dickhead lol.

Not fussed if we miss Corbett.

WC are right into Devon Robertson. Brisbane will need to move him on to try and get a second round pick.

What I have heard is we have been chasing Sharp for a while. He could end up WC but I’d bet he ends up at Freo. Same goes for Jackson. Freo despite the outcome of the Weller trade have a good trading relationship with GC. I’d expect that to get sorted pretty comfortably.

WC are also chasing Meek pretty hard apparently. We have a decent number of buyers for Meek which works in our favour to get good draft compensation.

I despise this with as much dispise-ness as is possible.

Rewarding bad drafting, poor coaching, and mismanaging of player lists does not lead to a better competition.

TheInjuryFactory tells me that once you realise that the AFL is an entertainment business and not a legitimate, fair and equitable sporting organisation, it all makes a lot more sense!

I think mundy was out preforming buddy, it's just that KPF is such a hard role to fill. I think next season is gonna be a disaster for him. I would have much more faith in another season of mundy then I would from buddy.

I thought Mundy was finished personally.

Give him the ball and he was as good as ever but his defensive game was something that hindered us in many games this season. He was only 5-10% off but it showed at various times. Next year would possibly have been a disaster for Mundy imo.
