Willie got high.

Yeah great argument using this as an example. Imagine Reiwodt didn't mark this and took out some opposition player.

The chef's kiss of this situation is watching Freo fans and Robbo's meltdowns on 360. Rowell got straight up and straight back into it. He is genuinely tough. Finally won an appeal is great too.
Love the result but disappointed we didn't get any more Grace-isms. 'Feathered' and 'Squirted around the pack' are two that come to mind from previous appeals :D

Yeah he wasn't about the flash tonight. Just blue collar, no-nonsense representation. Bring the guy a case that isn't a walk in the park and he'll start turning up the showbiz.

Some of the humour being put out this evening…
Slobbo has already said the afl should hold a presser to announce they are appealing the verdict. Zac Merritt and Jack Reiwoldt have both said it should be a week…. Wheres the players code again?

Reiwoldt cofirms my view that he is a complete richardhead.

Idiots probably just looking at a still frame.

If Willie bumps like that in general play it is a week, and I have no issue with that. But marking contests are different, you can't tackle, or block (most of the time!), or chop arms etc. So the choices are pretty much jump and spoil or jump and attempt a mark.

Leaving the ground is really moot as it is the expected action in that situation (and I would guess more common than not leaving the ground in contested marking situations).

If Reiwoldt realised what he was advocating - every time you jump for a mark the potential to injure may get you suspended, he might change his tune.
