Agree with the rest of your post, but not this bit.

That membership record vid was completely contrived and the players’ reaction was awkward and forced. Watch Owies. He’s laughing and taking the piss about how hard they’re all having to act out, like they’re in a rent-a-crowd (which they essentially are).

I’m sure the players appreciated the fact that we have great membership, but making them overact for the camera is absolutely cringe.
Charlie was hilarious in that clip.

Kemp will go past Plowman like he’s been nailed to the fence.
And that’s good for Carlton …

And so he should go past him in time, Plow is 28 so transition is perfect timing for Kemp

But at this stage, has had more durability than Gov and Marchbank and continues to play his role

More the tv coverage. No mention of just how undermanned we are
I know i shouldn't be disappointed but the commentary was just so bad.

We essentially played the best quarter of footy by anyone in years and they couldn't have been more subdued and disinterested.

They kept death riding us hoping for us to be pipped. Was almost zero interest in our victory.

Gaz, Nick and Moons were much better and then the three on after that were good too.

Great team win, everyone had their moments to stand up and did.

For some of the lesser lights I thought Cotters defensive efforts were great and he also has some toe with some Good chases as well. LoB similar although a bit more strength in the contest wouldn’t hurt.

Our smalls are really starting to be a problem for other teams which is awesome to see, their front half pressure was great to watch.

I couldn’t understand why the crowd was booing Luke Parker. I couldn’t give a shit as to his antics with Shiel. Fudge Shiel and *.

Having said that, he was smooshed in two crunching tackles. That I liked.

I was quite surprised Luke Parker was being booed. Not sure what the rationale is there ?

Why would Carlton supporters do this ?

Kemp's got a lot of work to do to earn a spot, especially with Marchbank fit.

At the moment Plowman clearly the better option.

Weitering didn't look his usual self early in the year, last night was his best game of the season
Quiet first 5 rounds. Seemed to be labouring physically. Might have also been mourning the loss of his 2IC in Jones.

He's well and truly back to his best. Been excellent last two weeks.

Watching the replay. So much to like. Tom De Koning is going to be something really special for the next decade. A work in progress but the upside is huge!

Very impressed with Cottrell. I think I saw a Channel 7 graphic that he ran the second most kms for the game (Walsh no.1)
Dude has gone way up in my estimation. Always had the running ability but I always thought he was going to be one of those one dimensional battlers that teams take a punt on sometimes. Proving me very wrong, kicking and game sense improving at a rate of knots. Good mark too.

Early in the season I saw him either not jump for marks or try and out body larger opponents, last night, I saw him bust his arse to get to the marking contest and smash into Mcartins back, causing the ball hits o spill.

It was so good to see

was it Durdin who put the knee into a Swan defender?

love a small forward who really cracks into a big and brings the ball to ground

I missed the J Kennedy incident was looking at my phone at stats, and they didn’t replay it on big screen. Watching it back, It was crude and late, but doc played on. He may get a week or two, but he ripped his hammy so will be out for more than that. Don’t hold any grudge to Kennedy has always been a tough ball player.

One thing that may have been mentioned but Havnt read every post in thread, but Matt Kennedy was smashed 3-4 times (fairly) in the first half when going for marks etc but took the hit and kept on going. Kids going to be a very good long term player, great second line mid behind Cripps and Walsh.

One concern is how we use all our petrol tickets up once we start to get a run on, once Sydney started taking control in the third we needed to switch to tempo footy, and not reply on our defence holding up. But that will come with time, it has ready improved over the last 5 weeks.

It’s so good to be winners again, I can once again enjoy the footy wraps each Sunday/Monday.

We started using our petrol tickets when we started to turn the ball over through going down the line with long kicks - Sydney had a really good defensive zone that covered the switch and everything short

We then had to chase tail and we were blowing up - our defensive zone wasn’t anywhere near as good

We need to get some run and carry from the back half - Plow tried it once - prefer if it was Saad or Stocker

Quite a few times the kick was to a 1:1 but it was on our guys head, we are shorter in the forward line and it needs to be out in front - statistically I would think it’s more chance for it be won by us or a throw in/ball up

How goods Durds celebrating his smother with the crowd like he kicked a goal? Then a few teammates getting around him.

Voss has the boys in the right mindset, prioritising selfless, defensive team actions. You hear it in player interviews. Durdin mentioned his game is judged by his defensive actions...the goals etc will come off the back of that work.

Averaging 25 possessions and 5 tackles a game?
Do number of touches mean he plays well? Been pretty average most games, poor in quite a few. His kicking isn't great, dow like alot of the time, and impact on games is minimal. I would like more out of him.

Quoting stats doesn't do much for me, my nan could average 20 touches in modern footy

Watched the whole thing with no sound
I enjoy the game more not having to listen to the clowns
Would love if you could listen to the noise of the game and crowd and no commentary
