Young looking okay if we need to replace McDonald. Dow looking above the level but it will take alot to dislodge any of our afl mids.
Want to see a little bit more desperation and hunger from Dow. Why does he still have skinny arms too?

Like the look of Motlop. Think Boyd would be a good option to use on players like degoey.

If I had never saw Motlop play before I would say he is a good midfielder playing forward and not looking at home. He looks terrific up the ground around the midfield, just finds it, uses it and competes well at stoppages. Up forward he hasn't looked comfortable. His pressure acts as a forward haven't been good enough.
Dow looking alright. Battling away, getting handballs out, building some good numbers.

I like Boyd, but way too small for JDG types. More a small defender

Haven’t seen every second as I’m at work, but what I have seen of Motlop and Boyd has impressed me. Motlop looks very clean. Dow doing well, but only just playing as well as he should at the lower level.
That said, I agree - no one knocking down the door for senior selection.

This is purely now a management issue
It must be so delicate
To whom you can push and to whom will get pissed off
Cause the old saying
Take the same winning team into next week
I don’t think or believe Jack Martin is an instant selection
But he does have X factor no doubt
He takes way too long to get into games
He’s a tempo
But on the flip side I wouldn’t leave him out of best 22
It’s a dilemma but he cannot start half forward for mine
He never see the ball until after half time in general so you have awiticy your your team so he gets touch
It’s weird
We payed a lot of money for a guy who is fantastic but only for short periods of play
Can he turn a game
No
But he can dfefinately give the team boost and momentum

Sadly to say as much as I like Martin I take consistency over wow factor any day of the week
I don’t mind being wrong either
