Tackling machine and would be great as that big bodied mid extractor type role. The thing that's difficult is while ours aren't big bodied, they're similar styles so it's hard to say if he's really what we need.

That said, rate him as a player and I'm sure he'll be a handy inclusion for Port if they do get him.

He's been largely terrible this year .....Dunkley would be on the bottom of the list of potential trade options

However, as posted a month ago, Dunkley suits Ports midfield profile perfectly

All of this 'returning messaih' type stuff would really be concerning me if I was a supporter tbh....

Can't blame them for hyping it though, how many years were they trying to land a big fish player? Didn't happen, their list has been gutted and now finishing a bottom 2 for the 3rd straight year. If getting Clarkson doesn't get them excited not sure what should!

Will be interesting to see how it all goes for them.
