For an inside mid of his physique he does not win near enough hard ball when he's played in there.
To an extent, but was easily more effective on the inside than as a slow wing with not a lot of hurt factor by foot. Seemed smart and thoughtful enough at getting the ball out of congestion, when played at the centre clearances

Now I’m not saying he’ll make it, just that he was moved away from a more natural position just when he seemed to be building some form

Currently on what I saw of Zac Taylor this year he should be the next inclusion in our midfield, wins plenty of his footy inside the contest, uses it better than any of our regular AFL mids already both by hand and foot. Unless Hately has a big preseason and starts winning a lot more contested footy Taylor will quickly put himself above Hately in the pecking order as well.
Taylor I feel like will have a very early debut, especially with a big preseason

We need his class

?????????????????????????? How many accounts do you have on here?

The gobsmacking irony.

What kind of jumbled mess is 'We tried to pay overs, GWS said no, so we got him for the right price' ???????

You do realise the mental gymnastics required to ATTEMPT to frame this that the Crows tried to pay overs.

You really ought to do your mental stretches before overextending yourself. We offered a pick in the last 30’s which it turns out would have been waaayyyy more than he was worth.

So we definitely tried to do the deal, and it turns out, tried to overpay.

He’s been F***ing useless

To be fair, this doesn't really make sense.

What we got him for was zero (other than the list spot). I guess you can say "any price" was too much, but that wasn't the view at the time, unless you were one of those that said all the way through that we should just push him to the PSD. I don't remember many people actually saying that, though.

The view was that we should pay SOMETHING - what we offered was considered very low, and barely worth GWS time negotiating around. So we got him for zero.

That we got him for zero doesn't suddenly make our earlier offer suddenly "overs" though, unless you think all trades should only be for free.

We offered I think pick 37

which considering we had pick 1 in the PSD was massive overs.

Love that Rachele and Soligo are looking like Best mates.

Good to see they are already hitting up the Gym together.
Hopefully they pick different clubs when they leave 😆

Mmm …wonder when the Kane Cornes sen Bf replacement will be announced?

I’m ok with it.

Breath buddy, it’ll help you a lot. Have you heard of box breathing? Might relax you and help with the lack of meaningful relationships that you have.

I liked what I saw of Taylor but looks more if the same to me. I do struggle with SANFL telecast as it tends to make everyone look slow and average. But I didn’t see anything particularly precise or inventive about his use by foot and that’s what our midfield group is crying out for.

If Hately wants to play midfield he has to start using his physical advantage way way more than he does and win a lot more contested football, if he doesn't he's not going to ever be a full time midfielder at AFL level and I'm not too sure if he has other strings to his bow to make a success of other roles.
Hately has a long neck and torso and short legs. In real terms he's not nearly as tall as his 190cm and as you say makes no use of what he has anyway. plays more like 178cm. cannot see him getting a game next year in any position.

Just spat my Weetbix 😂 , gotta steer clear of them long necked players.
Does Phil Gallagher have a no necked father son we can grab ?

It's rewriting history for anyone to say that their view at the time was pick 37 being an overpay.

Literally no one thought that.

Most people were shocked that we held to the price we wanted to pay and didn't offer a cent more, and then took him for free when our offer wasn't accepted.

We actually showed some balls then, and any view now contrary to that is people just reinventing history for internet points.

That being said - we should have traded the McHenry pick ...

You must be watching SANFL on a dial-up stream then because Taylor showed everything you haven’t seen.

He’ll be a seriously good player for us.

Literal bollocks. As there were literally lots of people aware we had pick 1 and wanted us to use it

True. But that’s a different matter altogether

Tend to agree with the foot skills, looks a bit loopy

If I had the talent, and had access to 1970crow skam85 Mr_Moogle Slippery Pete George Kramer's profile pics of their actual selves, i'd love to make a meme of 'The Usual Suspects', you know the police photo lineup one?

George Kramer would 100% be Keyser Soze leading these other blokes down a path of mysterious (confusing?) posts, odd interpretations, and ill-timed 'likes', only for them to discover he is in fact a Port Adelaide supporter that just been encouraging a constant and never-ending negative echo chamber with 'vulnerable' Crows Big Footy posters.

It is only then that they see his genius.

Where do you get off including Mr Moogle with that group of cool people
