It's that time of the year where we're about to hit crazy season on the board.

In order to keep some order around the place, I've locked all threads except the standard ones that we have during the season - refer #5. Will leave the rate my preseason thread going until final lockout.

Any new threads that don't fit in to the standard structure will likely end up merged with either an existing suitable thread, or the General Chat thread as a catch-all.

Good luck to everyone - this is one of the toughest years to pick a starting side that I can remember.

N.Martin and Hayes at F7 and F8 both tonning up. LOL.

Took Macraes vc score so didn't get greedy.

I had Ridley, Whitfield, Hinge and Ward and still cracked 2400, you needed a stronger preseason mate!

Downgraded Gawn to Draper during the week which turned out ok but in watching Draper, i didn't like how he doesn't seem to get involved around the ground enough. Marshall looked great for the Saints so am thinking of making a change there.

No Martin or Hayes so that needs to be addressed. Will probably bring in Martin this week and have another look at Hayes but am hoping he can back it up so i can downgrade Preuss.

340k in the bank gives me a bit to play with.

Hayes and Martin stranded on the bench. Would have been about 2460 with them on-field.
Score held back by Crisp (69) and Whitfield (73) and a couple of low scoring on-field rookies.

2375 for me, probably because I did have Martin on-field.

Our teams are incredibly similar.

I have Sicily in defence and Hinge is on my bench
I have MacDonald instead of JHF in the mids
I have English instead of Grundy in the ruck with Hayes benched
I have Durdin instead of Xerri and Maginness on field with Martin benched up forward.

So really only 4 differences

2356 for the first go round in 2 years after rage quitting mid season due to not executing the captain's loop successfully. I've learnt since then (tested the theory with VC Mccrae, Hollands captain with emergency on Hayes. It's been a nervous wait!

No, technically he's a mid-pricer, but that's only because he's had such rotten luck with injury. No one will be questioning his premo status by mid season if he stays fit.

using 3 trades after 2 weeks to reset the teams doesnt appear too crazy

People normally price trades at roughly $150k, so depends what you think the swing will be
