Would be helpful for us cap and list wise but I think we're stuck with him for 2 years

I think Matho would have more currency than JL given age.

I think he had an interview after joining the club when he suggested part of his initial contract could include coaching

Maybe he gets pushed into depth for 23 and then spends his final year as a clearances coach

Have been told by someone with a supposed link to the Dunkley family that he will be playing in Lions colours next year! Most likely on a 6 year deal. Felt like they knew more than what they said to me, but signs are looking positive. Not a take it to the bank, as I don’t know this person overly well, but seemed very confident that this would be the case. Hope he is on the money

lol this is why its important to get the deals done when the players ask to be traded to you, Re Essendon and their bungling of the Dunkley deal. Really Dodoro should go
Add Daniher to Sydney - why get two first round picks when you can have one? I'm sure there's plenty of others too.

How do we get Dunkley deal done with Ashcroft and Fletcher from the draft? Doubt we'll get much for McStay. Would also like to see people give Lyons a chance next year before writing him off. Think a bit quick to forget how good he was 20/21

I don't watch a lot of neutral games these days so I'm not sure if it's a trend, but I kept thinking during the prelim that Dunkley would fit Brisbane incredibly well. Good pickup, if you can bring in Dunks and your father sons it'll be a great offseason.

Are there any Victorian youngsters outside your best 22 that you could see the Bulldogs asking the question about?

Do you count Lyons as a youngster by any chance 😅

Mitch Cox is a GUN. Jarryd Lyons is also very good.

Just don’t touch our number 1 elite player at the club in Ryan Lester please :D

A Dunkley type is what we needed so we end up with the real thing
The 6 year deal is a bit long for my liking but this appears to be what players are asking for lately
Not often the Lions land a fairly big fish
...............

Dunkley for weeks had been weighing up offers from both the Lions and Port Adelaide after putting off talks with the Western Bulldogs, who were keen to retain Dunkley and had their own long-term contract on the table for months. The Power’s long-term offer for Dunkley was around $650,000 per season.

But Dunkley is now set to sign a six-year deal at Brisbane reportedly worth between $700,000 and $750,000 a year.

The last 5 years Brisbane has brought in Neale Cameron Daniher and now Dunkley they seem like big fish to me

Lester untouchable
Dammit, how are we gonna get a deal done?!

I'm sure Brisbane won't be giving up guys like Raynor or Bailey. Lohmann seems the type we need, but like Wilmont he's still on his first contract. Ely Smith looks like delist material. Not sure there's anyone else that makes an easy addition to the trade?

Any chance McStay nets an end of first round compo pick?

The easiest rule of thumb in these matters is that every play is untouchable except the guys the club already intends to delist
