Leaves three more uncontracted players with no more insight into their future - Lester, Fullarton and McFadyen.
with Gardiner re-signing maybe Lester gone
McFadyen I think gets another year, overcoming an ACL, had good periods down back in VFL, possibly downgraded to rookie list
Tom? Now that Gunston appears to be arriving, must be wondering if any opportunities elsewhere?

We're still quite short on KPF depth so I assume the club is hoping Fullarton sticks around.

If we do get bowed I’d say it will be a 5 year contract with 2 upfront years and 3 more at a lower value to smooth out the price . Probably means Robertson is surplus to our needs then as Bowes is only 24 .

Midfiiled of

Neale , Dunkley , Ashcroft , Clugga , Berry , Zorko , Lyons , Bowes , Bailey , Rayner has some quality . Probably better off seeing if we can get a good pick from west coast despite fact of not wanting to lose Robertson .

West coast have pick 20 that would be fair for Robertson . Glass is his uncle so could see them paying that price which I think is fair . Thoughts ?
I have some mail that Dev doesn't want to leave the Lions but thinks that he is going to be offered up for trade.

The source is has regular contact with several Lions players through his small business located close to the Gabba

I’d probably prefer to keep Robertson then bowes especially if it’s on salary alone . But maybe we see bowes and pick 7 as too good a deal and something which will unlock Dunkley easily plus allow us plenty of points to cover Ashcroft . Dom would also be well equipped and may rate bowes as previous Gold Coast list manager .

Can’t blame Tom at all. Go well!

Good outcome for the family too. Brothers stay close and easy for their dad to visit both.
Can't fault Terry for making such a call - he was a long way back, but Ill miss not having a Jerry and Terry anymore.

Jarrod will just go back to being plain old Berry :'(:p

I don't necessarily disagree, but how long do fringe players wait around. That's the balancing act with a strong list how to keep the fringe players. Tom is QLD lad so that is a consideration.

Congratulations Tom Berry. Great opportunity for him. I wish him the best for the future. Jack Bowes- Yes please. Classy ball user with a great temperament.

The Brisbane Lions confirm Thomas Berry has informed the Club he wishes to join the Gold Coast Suns.
As much as it sad to see him go, good luck to Thomas and I hope he crack into their best 22 permanently :thumbsu:

Just hope Gold Coast don’t come after Jarrod in 2 years time though, someone give him the captaincy next year

Felt like we sort of drafted him for the romantic side of having brothers on the list playing together but he'll get a good crack at it at the Suns!
It feels weird to be proud and happy for him for finding somewhere else next year, it’s sad I know but I’m happy he’ll get another opportunity and hopefully get a full-time role in their Best 22 :)

I hope Jarrod is okay though with not being able to play with his younger brother again
