All quiet on the Conor Mckenna front - is that good or bad for us?
Well it's good that he hasn't signed with anyone, but bad he hasn't signed with us. So it's up to you.

I think we have done a good job not to overpay our players and have built a good culture that attracts and retains people.

Doesn't mean we still can't get some things wrong.
Agree 100% however if there is a 50/50 assessment to me made for or against our people at the club making a decision, with the runs on the board that they have, then I believe our people should get the nod rather than the opposite.

I wish Dan McStay all the best. Always gave his best at Lions and hung around much longer than many others at the time he was drafted. I do fear for him if he has a quiet month - Collingwood lynch mob won't be so forgiving.

We all know what Dan brings - a contest, a goal here or there. Never going to break a game apart. Honest effort every week. If Collingwood fans acknowledge that's what he brings, then he will be ok. But, for the money he got, I feel they will expect 3 goals from him every week and he won''t do that.
Dont believe the bolded in any way but I do wish him the best at Collingwood.

There were some interesting comments made by Andrew Mackie (Geelong's list boss) suggesting they haven't been in contact for a while.

He hasn't publically come out and committed to coming back to the AFL, so I wonder if he's still making up his mind up.

The devaluation of the term "star" continues.

Trades LIVE: No compo for Dogs as Saints land star

Spoiler: the "star" is Zaine Cordy, who is joining the Saints on such a low salary that he doesn't even warrant any compensation pick as a 25 year old.

I actually don’t think it was to do with $$$. Obviously you can pay maybe another $150k to make it $750k but the harsh reality is that he is not worth that type of money. I wish him all the best but I also fear for him a little bit in that type of pressure cooker that is Vic footy.

Maybe the pressure will work for him. Might see him play he his best footy yet, and us melt down cause it's not for us.

I only realised yesterday that Ayce Cordy and Zaine Cordy were different people.

From memory they're brothers, which often makes me wonder how their mother is going since I can only assume there's 24 other kids in between those two.

Could we get pick 56 off Gold Coast and trade that for Gunston?

Our current pick 46 seems overs. I assume we will trade our future first so can't trade our future 3rd.

Would trading 46 be worst for points than diluting the compensation we'd get taking Gunston as a FA?
