Pick 15 and Future 1st for Dunkley and pick 29
With picks 29, 33, 44, 69 plus McStay compo it would then give us around 2000 points depending of free agency compos for other clubs (could then possibly trade picks like 29 to a Collingwood for picks 42 and 47 netting additional points).
Trade a future 3rd round for around 300 points for Fletcher
Go into deficit for any remaining points.

We will be able to get it done without losing any players we want to keep.

Probably worth noting those picks will be pushed back a few times by free agency compo

Man, pinch me, I'm still on cloud Lion...I mean nine.
Too tempting not to use again >

Just out of interest can we trade our 2023 first round pick for another clubs 2024 first round pick or is future trading only limited to the following year?

Imagine telling a Lions supporter ~5 years ago that our team would one day include Lachie Neale, Charlie Cameron, Joe Daniher, and Josh Dunkley.

'They'll be great support for Dayne Beams, Tom Rockliff, Lewis Taylor, Sam Mayes and Josh Schache!'

and don’t forget about our future Brownlow medalist, Ben Keays 😍

Heads up guys, the Port board in response to this news are talking about how they can poach Bailey lol
+ how a 25 yo Dunkley is over the hill, a ‘short term fix’, a ‘sugar hit’, not worth it considering the superstar they will draft with pick 9, not worth the $1 million per season we’re offering compared to their offer of $300k/year, not what their midfield needs etc etc.

Good old BigFooty.

He might win one, who knows just quietly.
ONE OF MY GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE IF HE DOES (1ST WOULD BE US WINNING THE PREMIERSHIP AGAIN)

Weirdly, a lot of Bulldog fans think this is where the deal ends up too.
It's odd to get two opposing sets of fans agreeing to a trade value before trade period. I suspect there's a bit of back and forth as we try and use a combination of late picks to go back instead of pick 29.

Had a look at the draft points index and 29 is worth 653 points, you currently have pick 37 (483 points), if you can get a hold of another pick in the low 40s those 2 combined would be around 900 points... and you get to keep 29.

With Ashcroft likely to be bid on in the top 2 it is purely about points for us, this trade will get done with a minimum of fuss IMO.

I think that's what we'll aim for - probably moving on a few fringe players that may/may not earn picks prior to pick 73 (where the points run out).
We may also try and trade future picks for later picks this year to try and keep 29.
