My god that was *n stupid from crouch..

Hes not even a sanfl standard player
It's insanity that Hately had a 30 disposal, 3 goal game but we called up Crouch instead.

Our coaches suck.

SANFL form is such a weird thing. We demand it of some but then delist P Wilson, B Turner who churn out good games. Is it an indicator or not?
It's the nature of our drafting with those types where we often seem to prioritise jack of all trades, who may not have an elite trait or two that will put them above the pack and let them perform at AFL level.

We've occasionally taken the punt with guys like Anthony Wilson who had elite speed, but couldn't kick and hoped a year in the system would straighten that up, but for the most part they seem to pick those solid, ball winning mids who don't have any physical profile who can thrive at SANFL level, but don't have anything that works at AFL level.

How does Berry go from being one of our most promising young mids to the delist pile in 6 months?
Godden/VB

They couldn't coach a pig to roll in shit.

Fogarty crushed any ideas I had about SANFL form being meaningful.
When was Fogarty's SANFL form particularly good? As far as I can tell he averaged under a goal a game for his time in the seconds, and kicked more than 2 goals once in 36 games, in a random game in 2018. Not exactly kicking the door down - his AFL form was better.

edit: or maybe you're saying his SANFL form was mediocre and he got picked anyway - guess that would make sense.

Pretty sure that was the point of the statement.

Part of me thinks Godden has done a "Jones" on him. Far too in his own head when he's playing and not working on instincts.
The Eagles churned out a decent amount of AFL players when he was there. At least that's what I was told by people I know with close ties to that club. I never actually bothered to fact check this. Starting to think the cheeky buggers scammed me.
