Borlase has started well. Reads the flight of the ball better than any of our other SANFL defenders. Deserves a game in the AFL for mine.

McAdams injury and form have meant until now he was not a viable option.

Mcadam was good in first qtr. Gollants been presenting. Missed a couple and kicked one.

Although he played nearly all of his footy for the GWV Rebels as an in and under mid with a hard edge I have the feel Hamish and his crew were very taken with his Vic Country form at the Nationals where he played exclusively on the other team's most dangerous small forwards and completely blanketed them. I knew we had a fair bit of interest as we interviewed him several times very late in the year after the Nationals and in the run up to the draft which I shared with a couple of the keen draft watchers on this board.

I got the feel we had him pencilled in as a likely Luke Brown replacement with the versatility to run through the midfield if required at times. He has superb endurance when fit and a really hard edge to his game.
