Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

We need a key forward and GCS pick and access to Walter is a huge difference to us.
Also if GC can get another pick in before a Walter bid it will push us down another pick.
None of what you wrote is correct.

If you read the Suns board, they are not that keen to have 4 good players in a yr as it could lead to Salary cap issues down the line as they had earlier with Scrimma. They expect issues already if these 3 good players develop to potential. Their preference is to trade 4 for a player or move the pick to next year

Prolific work in the contest was the highlight for Sanders this week. If he didn't win it himself he was laying a tackle to ensure the Knights mids couldn't escape.

If North have to match a bid for Sanders as NGA, then their pick 16 will get traded & we may be in box seat to land it for Scrimma + Frost.

lets hope Sanders does agree for NGA listing.
Picks 2 and 3 for 1 is madness. Surely they hold both picks.
It would be but I am sure Eagles F1 or swap of F1's + F2+19 will be added in. North will be mad to do just 2+3 for 1
We don't have access to Walter.
Clubs need to still bid for him. Eagles would be rapt if Suns don't match a bid at 1. They will have their KPF for next decade sorted. Next yr is filled with mids.

The fact Tew jiath has made his way into the 25 rated players on the back of what seems like 4 weeks probably shows how even/weak this draft is outside the top 5 and academy players.
Only Cal T is rating Tew this high.. no one else has him this high. if someone wants to draft him before pick 40, we should welcome it and then hope they come for CJ with a even bigger offer next yr.

He's the best KPF prospect, clubs will bid on him and GC will match.

There is nothing stopping us drafting Tew Jiath before pick 40.
It just means we don't get a discount for nga.
Could still be worth it to have the brothers playing together
Like the old saying goes what's better than one Jiath? Tew Jiath

I'll let myself out 😂

Depends on how AFL scripted it all is. Silver foil hat on of coarse.
A prerequisite of Sanders being pre-listed is probably to agree to give picks 2 + 3 to WCE for 1, given the state of the list. AFL won't want WCE at the bottom for any longer than they can help.

NM gets Reid & Sanders
WCE gets Curtin & McKercher

Sanders and pick 3 compo appear out of thin air, to the detriment of all other clubs but WCE & NM.

Funnily enough that’s probably best case scenario for us since we get our choice of Watson or Duursma.

They will get sanders and later picks as part of their we are pathetic package. So it looks alright if they move 2+3 for Reid with another pick coming back from WC. Then Every chance they move for GC pick 4 with the assistance picks and ports 1st they still have. Probably good for us in a way that watson or dursmaa will be a certainty to get through to us now.

Yes I’ve read some of their threads but GCs pick still effects us was my point.
I also think that not picking talent on the basis that 3 players may develop or may lead to salary cap issues is poor list management.

This is what the AFL wants and is pushing hard for.

Would be classic for North to come out of this with two mids and losing their only good KPD.

Won't win anything in the future with their only spine player being Larkey.

But imagine the hand outs they get next season!

LMAO. They can cry us a ****ing river.

Better yet, trade us one of those players along with their first rounder in a few years.

We should actually hope they trade up + take their 4rth Academy in Will graham.

May lead to them being forced to trade out Ben King or Matt Rowell or one of the other gun in near future. Surely in 2-3 yrs these 2 + Touk + Noah + Flanders + Lukosious are demanding 1m per yr. All the other top draftees would need 500-700k contracts.

Something has to give.

Caddy dropped a few marks he would normally take, and his set shot kicking was a bit wayward, however this was still an impressive performance. At times he seemed to be waging a one man battle against the Dragons defense, with his teammates targeting him practically every time they went forward.

caddy drops marks all the time even chest marks

25 for Kosi appears unders when you consider Rich got 19 from Norf for a bloke who has done nothing before or after that trade
Media pumped up CCJ value big time, even though he was an obvious spud, they won't pump up Kosis value though.
