Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

Watson will get a lot of bums on seats at the MCG with his magical play

So in theory it could end up:

1. Reid WC
2. Walter GC
3. Mkercher NM
4. Curtin NM
5. Durrsma MELB
6. Sanders WB
7. Watson HAW
8. Leake GWS
9. Wilson GEEL
10. Caddy / O'Sul ESS
11. Caddy / O'Sul HAW

Doggies will take Watson over Sanders.

Can I ask, what's the appeal for Mckercher from a list-perspective?
Of all the prospects he's the one I'm least keen on purely from a needs-perspective.
From a list perspective he adds break away pace, elite agility in the contest and an the ability to push forward and hit the scoreboard. I just see him as the biggest talent and it's not really a list balance call but we would find a spot for him I'm sure. Probably would play as a pure winger or HFF early days

inb4 Sleepy Mark surprises us all with a Ryley Sanders(mid) or a ZZ Top(KPD) (Zane Zakostelsky)
was reassessing where we are at if we trade down and I was reminded of your post. this looks good to me, especially if we can grab Caddy too.

I'm deep down the rabbit hole here. Is there any way we could end up with picks 6, 7 and 8?

Hawks - F1
GWS - 7

Hawks - 4 (+ something?)
Dees - 6 + 11

Hawks - 11 + F2 (Pies)
Geelong - 8 + F3

I'm not sure if we can trade certain future picks without receiving any in return though.

AND this hinges on Melbourne wanting Watson desperately, which I'm unsure of.

1) WCE - Reid
2) GCS - Walter
3) North - Duursma
4) North - McKercher
5) Dees - Watson
6) WBD - Sanders
7) Hawks - Curtin
8) Hawks - O'Sullivan
9) Hawks - Caddy / Leake

Add McCabe as well and we have made out like absolute bandits.
Like the idea but you can’t do it as you need both f2/3 to trade f1. So I don’t think it’s possible we don’t have the draft capital. Also we can only take 2 players plus McCabe and dear and rookie wingard and Stephens.
Next best I floated and now enhanced as this is really the last chance for trade speculation was this mega trade
44,47,49 suns for 27
4,f2(pies),62 for 6,11,f1(dees)
11,27 for f1(port),f3(freo),34,64
F1(dees) for f2(north),57
F1 for 7 or 8

2023: 6,7or8,34,57,63,64
2024: f1(port),f2(north),f3(freo)

Gets us 2 top end picks like osullivan caddy easily match McCabe and dear and have picks for next year to use for trading for a target combined with 2025 futures.

Why does everyone think WB won’t go Curtin? People say they’re stacked for talks, but he’s very clear he wants to play midfield.
I want the bank to accidentally deposit 15 million into my account and never notice. Sometimes we don’t get what we want. Bulldogs might see his mid potential as not worthy.
