Pretty sure Norf get pick 1, just can’t see WCE going into the draft with just 1 and their 2nd landing at about 27 or so when they badly need to turnover the list.

Are we certain they take Curtin if they have 2? If so I think the draft plays out pretty well for us being Reid, Curtin, Duursma - in that scenario I really would not be surprised to see Hawks go Watson over McKercher, they’re super keen to bolster their forward line.

Leaving us our best case scenario in McKercher, I honestly can see that happening if Norf get 1.

Eagles have turned down offers from Melbourne and North according to twomey.
North's offer was 2 and their two Late firsts for 1 and 23.
Melbourne offered 6, 11, 42.

It’ll come eventually though, that offers pretty crap from North tbh but if they eventually get it up to 2, 15,18 just for 1 it’ll get done IMO. It just makes too much sense for both clubs considering their lists & rebuild stage, draft hands (ie Norfs handouts), Reid being from Vic & Curtin from WA being one of the next best prospects. I’m pretty sure it gets done at some stage

I can't see Hawks passing on McKercher tbh.

Hard to see a deal not happening. Makes sense for Eagles to hang out for a bit more.

Reckon it'll end up being Norfs current offer for 1 and 37.

The first offer from North was even worse. 4 end of First round picks.

With us likely to have 2 picks after Croft in the 40s to 50s who are some names people like for us? Wingers, small forwards (if we don’t get Watson), mids etc? Wouldn’t mind doing some YT research so I can get wound up on a pick 50 kid who I’m certain will be a star, and I’ll be pissed we don’t pick who then goes onto play 2 games ever.

I know we have done work on a few guys, Kade De La Rue is a Half forward/Wing.
James Spadanuda and Oscar Hine-Baston are others that have been looked at as overagers outb of Perth.

If Norf get 1 and WCE get 2.. what are people's phantoms like? Surely Norf don't draft two midfielders again

That'd rely on them drafting sensibly. I reckon they still take McKercher.

I'm a fan of Harvey Johnston, Koen Sanchez, and recently Aiden O'Driscoll has impressed. He's got two siblings at Freo though so probably a pull back to WA eventually. Maybe Vigo Visentini as a late draft ruck to develop.

Will be years of crap on here comparing our original picks vs Pick 5 if he slides past them both… I’m pretty attached to the players at pick 5 now so I’m still happy tbh, but could also make us look a bit silly if we could have had for example Wilson/Windsor, Collard, F1 & Croft, and they end up better than pick 5 + Croft
I think Croft gets bid on later because we traded up the order. If we kept the original picks then for sure Essendon or Adelaide bid early to wipe us out but right now they probably don’t care about cleaning us out of the 3rd round and he slides.

If we take an 18 year old ruck Vigo is the one I'd want. Very well built aswell, could comfortably ruck at VFL level.

Strengths:
Competitiveness
Physicality
Rate of development
Ruck craft
Work rate

Improvements:
Composure
Versatility

Gives the vibe that he would possibly belt someone if necessary.

1. North - Reid
2. Eagles - Curtin/McKercher
3. North - Curtin/Duursma
4. Hawks - Duursma/Watson

Still reckon it will be between Watson and Sanders left for us anyway, whether the current order stays or does not. The only difference that it will make if North gets pick 1, is that the odds of McKercher sliding to us is better. Which is why in small part I hope they get pick 1. At the same time I don't want North getting Reid, because f**k them? Charity case club shouldn't be rewarded with best player in the draft thanks to AFL giving them a leg up.

204cm 99kg he wouldn't get pushed around like alot of young rucks. Like his brother at Power, his physicality and will to win would be a great replacement for Sweet who was very much that aswell.
