Them getting Hine in the early 2000s was massive. Us losing Judkins a bit before that a catastrophe. Saying that we weren't serious being frugal and self satisfied while other clubs raced ahead of us in terms of player development, recruitment, fitness, modern game plans and just general innovation.

Well done Collingwood I guess but the fact is that if it had been on an equal footing at a neutral ground Brisbane would have won that. Victorian club advantage.

I agree there is a built in GF advantage to Victorian clubs. But I think Collingwood were clearly the better side and the game was close because of relative accuracy in front of goals. I think if played on neutral ground as for eg in 2021, Pies still win.
