The crows are only taking 2 picks it seems but have 3 in the first round.

If they don’t trade up and Wilson is ours at 13.

I would be on the phone trying to get their pick 14 for Edwards.

Even if it cost us a future first.

So now Edwards is worth 2 draft picks?
Even though he's clearly 2 rungs behind the top players in the draft.

We'd probably end up paying the points equivalent to a top 5 pick for him.

It would be just a sugar rush, and this time next year we'd all be crying because we had no draft picks.

I’d be offering a future first for pick 14.

It’s one pick.

Kid is rising up the boards with a number of clubs keen.

Reasons for that.

Not many clubs will trade a current pick for an unknown , potentially worse future pick, without sweetening the deal.

If it was one of the last first round picks they might.

Your missing the actual scenario.

Crows are apparently taking only 2 players. But have 3 first round picks.

If they can’t trade up. (2 for 1)

We could give them a first next year for 14.

They keep their draft currency for next year

Adelaide do have a history of making those stupid trades.

When they got Stocker, they were kind of gambling on Carlton being crappy the following year ( it paid off ).
Carlton got a player that turned out to be no good to them.

My opinion is that Adelaide were insane to make that deal. They gave up two first round picks to get Carlton's future pick.
Note that King thinks that Carlton took a big risk. No King, you imbecile, Carlton got a clear pick for nothing. Adelaide were taking all the risks. They got to draft the guy they wanted, and still had a good pick the following year.

Crows on the other hand were betting it all on Carlton being crappy.

So yeah if Crows are still braindead, happy to do the trade, though we'll still be pissed off this time next year.

The crows were also ordinary that year, which made it worse

Can’t imagine that’s the picks we want

Wow so the talk of trading out of next year has some credence?

My god if we got Wilson & another good player at #21 then another pick in the top #20 we are going all out this years draft. I like that the club are backing themselves in to get the right players in this draft and build for the now rather than waiting for next years draft.

Well yeah, I wasn’t lying when I said it was possible.

You can also trade back from 13 and end up with a total of 4 picks that way.
