Nah. if i'm north, I'd want our pick 2 to know that we rated him higher than an opposition player.

That's the most ridiculous reason I've ever heard. 😂

Another for the Danster scrapbook

Clayton Oliver has never been able to get over us selecting Callum Mills so Sydney had to match. That's why he's taking hard drugs nowadays.

Says that West Coast will trade their F1 to GWS for Curtain.

Apparently we're heavily into Windsor and know we have to take him at 6 (7) because GWS will take him if he's there

Pretty sure I have heard the same about Curtin, O’Sullivan and Leake now re GwS interest if we pass.

Only way I see us taking Tholstrup is if we trade our F1 for one of Norths picks (15, 17,18). Would be idiotic to use pick 11 on him after that trade we did.

Disagree. Those picks will all be in the 20s come time to use them, and he'll be well gone by then. Taking him at 13/14 (which is what our pick will be) is about right.

I am perpetually prepared to be upset when supporting the MFC

Both HS and Age have us taking Windsor ahead of Curtin/Caddy/Leake and O’Sullivan

What a trash pick when we have Howes who can’t even get a run on the wing in the 1sts and just bought in Billing’s who can also play that position. Are we trying to build a team of wingmen here?

Im honestly fine with Windsor as a player, he brings two things we lack: Line breaking and quality kicking. Sure selecting him at 6 is a bit earlier than id like but he adds a dynamic to the team that we dont have.

When I was going over Windsor's packages a month or so ago I was really impressed, said he was absolutely a top 10 pick and borderline top 6. Also thought he might be a player a team would like to play off half back at some point to hurt the opposition on the counter attack. I dont see him strictly as a winger.

If we take Curtin or O'Sullivan, are we trying to build a team of tall defenders (May, Lever, Turner, Tomlinson, Adams, Hore)? If we take Caddy, are we trying to build a team of KPFs (JVR, Petty, Jefferson, Fullarton, Brown, McDonald)?

Odd argument. Windsor gives us things that we lack – speed and class. Hunter is getting on, Langdon has been poor for two years, Howes hasn't debuted, Billings could be great, but could also spend most of the year in rehab. Position doesn't really matter in the end, the skillset does. As A11dAtP0w3R references, he could even be a HB option. At the moment, our outside players are poor and have been for a long time. Considering Windsor at least indicates to me that the club is intent on addressing that glaring issue.

You watch this game, about as impressive of a game as you would see from anyone you research. I think it might have been the best package of a single game I saw from anyone in this draft class. Calm with the ball in hand- makes good decisions, penetrating kick, great link up, great follow up efforts, good above head. Its all there.

AFL Draft: Eagles reportedly planning mega trade for versatile star

This article suggests that we will skip Curtin. And fair enough too. I've never seen so much hoopla around a guy that will possibly slide to 8-10.

So this suggests:
1. Reid (WCE)
2. Walter (GC)
3. McKercher (North)
4. Duursma (North)
5. Watson (Hawks)
6. Sanders (Dogs)
7. Ethan Reid (Gold Coast)
8. Caddy (Dees)
9. Curtin (WCE trade with GWS)
10. O'Sullivan (Geelong)
11. Windsor (Ess)
12. James Leake (Ade)
13. Tholstrup (Dees)

Where does that article suggest Caddy?

His not a bad player but he isn’t a pick 6. You save those for the potential next Fyfe/Selwood/Bontempellis/Curnows

Not for the next Langdon, Issac Smith, Dylan Stephen’s (yes his pre-draft package looks a lot like Dylan’s did).

Tackles well for an outside type, too

He doesnt resemble any of those players. You've just made lazy wingman comparisons without watching his game.
