Paddy looks confident of a spot in the 23.
Bam Bam, not so sure.

Another fight erupted just after this shot.

I ask this knowing Im likely to get my head hit off, but if Doc is going to play as a mid, do we get more from him than we do Dow who is likely to be out/sub?

Another quick point, I hope Cripps doesnt feel like he needs to do too much like he has in the past. Trust his team mates and do what he does best, go get the footy and feed it out. Just dont want the excitement and all the talk that he is built for finals make him feel like he needs to be everything.
Doc can replace Ollie and a red hot Dow stays in.

No, Dow is a better mid than Doc. Doc is in-fact is a terrible mid, it’s why when they (mids) were all fit, he was no where near a centre bounce.
Doc is a great footballer, but adds very very little as a mid - I’ve posted stats on this numerous times and his numbers are horrible.

Indeed. Surely most can agree Cripps is at his best when he doesnt try to do it all. He doesnt have the be the bloke regularly breaking from stoppage and trying to deliver the ball lace out. I just hope with all the talk he doesnt get over excited and try to be "the man" in all scenarios. Trust in his teammates. Im potentially not articulating it all that well, but I know what I mean haha.

I agree that he's at his best when he is distributing, but I reckon we give him a bit of 180 game credit that he won't be influenced by "all the talk".......

And thats my point. Its like shooting bambi and there is zero chance Doc doesnt play, so its all a moot point I guess. BUT I feel like structurally him coming in provides greater versatility than the person he likely comes in for but not a better specialist than whoever he replaces. I dont know if he is a better winger than Hollands, a better mid than Dow and I dont think as a few have said he will play half back.

180 game - 0 Finals
It’s a reasonable concern as he has tried to do too much before.
He has also pretty much carried us single handedly to victory on a number of occasions too

Loved this post from the Swan's preview thread. Someone's a little nervous
only pie supporters think opposition fans can influence the result of games...............

Exactly, he just needs to do what he has been doing all year. Get in there, get the ball and dish it out quickly to the first option.

He needs to watch the following video on repeat, where 95% of his disposals are quick first options. Plus tackling, lots of tackling.

He should- he’s an AA half back & is less prone to kicking errors when running straight lines. He’s also fearless when covering defensively & working back. Bloke is hard AF, IMO people have a horrible habit of when someone plays well it’s an automatic “play him in the middle”.
Doc is a huge upgrade on Fish & Boyd as a defender, will need to temper himself a little & be more defensive & help Newman/Weiters direct traffic
I’m also happy for him to spend chunks running a wing, we will need defensive running cover against the swans - players busting butt to push back when they break, Doc reads play very very well & will be important coverage

As difficult as waiting through a bye week has been it’s been really nice to have time to go back and watch some of the matches this season - or a quarter here and there and highlights of some of the games. Some really pleasing performances - particularly in the back half of the season and often winning in very different ways. I don’t think I’ve even gone back and watched so many matches before - and the Watch AFL app makes it so easy get to exactly where I want quickly.

Some of the highlights:
The end of the Richmond draw (and so frustrating too)
The 6 goal 3rd quarter against the Cats
The 6 goal 3rd quarter against the Roos who were playing alright at the time
Charlie’s 9 and the teams 108 point demolition of the Eagles
The 5 goal opening quarter against the Lions
The 6 consecutive goal comeback against the Dogs
The 9 goal second quarter against the Suns followed by the 8 goal second half
The 8 goal to zero opening half against the Hawks
The first complete team effort for the big win at Freo
The 6 goal second quarter followed by the 9 goal second half against Port
The 9 goal opening quarter and Charlie’s 10 against the Eagles
Our opening half including Cerras sublime domination against the Pies followed by us kicking the first 3 goals of the final quarter
Our second half suffocation against the Saints restricting them to a goal and their mids to almost zero possessions in the final quarter
Our opening quarter domination against the Dees and the pressure soaked final 15 minutes where we hardly made a mistake
Charlie’s second quarter against the Suns
Charlie getting two early goals against the Giants to wrap up the Coleman
