The tallest team we've had all year against a smallish side in wet weather.

They aren’t that small. Amartey, Logan and McLean is a pretty tall forward line. Hickey in the ruck. They are small down back which is something we can exploit even if it’s a bit wet. Win the clearance and get it into the 50 with one-on-ones. We are playing to our strength which is our physicality and is also how to beat Sydney by being physical. We also need good tacklers to stop their run off half back hence Fog, Cunners, Martin etc instead of Hollands, Fisher, Durdin etc. Motlop to come to provide a spark. It’s a good team. I think we’ll win.

While I wasn’t necessarily expecting it, I can understand the Marchbank inclusion given the size of Sydney’s forward line - McLean, McDonald and Amartey all big plus Heeney and Hayward are mid sizers who can mark.

With Pitto coming in, we were always going to lose a smaller player in the front half. Thought it would be one of Fog or Cunners but they’ve gone with Motlop.

I’m not too fussed with who is in or out. Play hungry, get after it and let’s knock up a win.
