Crazy to think about trading Butters? Peak of his price, could do plenty with that sort of coin

I'm thinking about it. Got a tough run after the Bombers. Worth a lot and could be an interesting move.

That said, he's a champ and it'd be a brave person who would trade him with some of the scores he's pumped out the past 6 weeks or so.

Pretty poor night with Butters and Stewart.

Butters was due a down game and I didn't expect him to get as many marks around the ground as he has been getting. Stewart being tagged was a chance.

I hate to deathride cause I love watching him play but bloody finally butters had a quiet one, stewart pathetic just seems that all the defenders this year apart from daicos and dawson are yo yo scorers. Can barely hit a high ceiling score anymore.

I own neither Stew or Butters so it may be the week where not having them doesn’t affect you.

But man him getting spooked and his scoring grinding to a halt gave me flashbacks to last year

That has to be to the far left on a bell curve in terms of total points in a game, seems an extremely low scoring game.

Always thought, what actually makes a game a low scoring fantasy game?
Seemed to be a lot of wasted time. The ball was either moving super quick out of the middle leading to a set shot or players were hanging onto it for their full 15 after a mark.

Brought in Duncan. Despite the low 70s score, I kind of feel confident with his run coming up. Role was fine and he was demanding/thirsty as usual.

Only went up 800 spots tonight with Rozee, Butters and Stewart playing, which suggests a lot have all 3 of them, in the Top 10,000.

Think this is gonna be a very rough round - has that feel to it.

My prediction is 1900 will be par, and 2000 will be a huge score. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out from here.

If there is a week for PODs to fire this would be it. Could cash in nicely if they do.

I have the 19 playing (8 are under 10% ownership), but all of them are decent chances to score well and there isn’t too many rookies. Reckon the score dropped will be out of Bedford, Humphrey, Callaghan or Sheldrick.

Have Lloyd, Sheldrick, Dunks and Gulden tommorow

Lloyd
Ash
NWM
Vlaustin

Bray
Bont
Serong
Walsh
Short
Callaghan
Sheldrick

RoMa
Nank

TT
Gulden
Dunks
Jacko
Humphrey
Bedford

248/3

Got 24 playing this week so Stewart's pathetic 66 likely to come off. Happy with Dylan Williams dropping a 76 for his farewell match.

First week not having Butters hasn't burnt me in about 2 months.

I now have two choices now that Fahey isn't playing - as I need a defender to get the cash gen from Hunt, and there are no rookie priced defenders:

1. Trade in Lohmann or Buller instead of Sheldrick, along with Brouch and Himmelberg, and trade out Cogs next week (was going to get HH after the byes, but this gets him in earlier but still keeps my trades similar)

2. Trade in Sheldrick, Docherty and Brouch, but trade out Cogs, Hunt and Pedlar this week, to fund what would be my post bye trade (keeps bye structure the same, but allows me to get the defender I need in earlier). Could also trade in Sinclair, but don't want in the long run.

Essentially:

Lohman and Himmelberg but Cogs stays in this week and traded next week

vs

Sheldrick and Docherty, but trade out Cogs this week

Thoughts (leaning towards option 2)?

Option 2 gets you Docherty which is the way I'd go.
Do you still have 18 playing this week?

Yep will still give me 20 for the week. 21 would have included Fahey, but he likely would have dropped off anyway, so it doesn't change anything

Stewart tagged heavily tonight by both McEntee and SPP. Will be lucky if he goes 50. May send him to the wing if this keeps up.

Port as usual restricting scoring. Gonna be a very bad Fantasy night me thinks.
He wasnt heavily tagged. I wouldn't even say tagged. Tagging is literally having a guy on your back the whole game like Ryan Crowley used to do. No-one has been genuinely tagged for years. They have run along players but Stewart still didn't have this. At most they were aware of Stewart not getting switch kicks. That's about it.

Bit of doubt on HH's role, so option 2 for mine.

More important and effective was McEntee manning him up when Port went inside 50. He stopped Stewart's intercept game by either blocking him or bumping him off the line of the ball.
