Particularly after Rioli...West coast unlikely to want to help port after the rioli trade fiasco..hope they bend port right over and get him for nothing via psd
Well, it's the short term KPD market mate. We are looking for an above average stopper with experience.Feels like we are wandering down to a car boot sale with the names we are speaking about
Well getting a player like that in a contract year seems like the ideal time then right? He's one that once he got a large Contract, after an outstanding year, 5 years ago .....did an Atkins & took life easy, put on weight
IMO plays for the money only .....hard no
If you could get McDonald on an annual Contract .....greatWell getting a player like that in a contract year seems like the ideal time then right?
Totally fair.If you could get McDonald on an annual Contract .....great
He just looks as if the desire isn't there anymore .....he's currently behind Brown & Van Rooyen .....so he's really struggling
PlayStation time
Delist: Hamill (to rookie list), Crouch, Hately
Retire: Sloane
Leave via FA: Doedee (Band 3 compo)
Trade NM 2nd and Doedee compo for Flanders and a later pick (Coll 3rd)
Trade Coll 3rd for stop gap KPD like Melican or Tomlinson
Draft:
Adel 1st: Ryley Sanders (Tasmanian midfielder, 185cm) or Darcy Wilson (Vic C wing with mid potential, 185cm)
GC 2nd: Kade De La Rue (Vic C mid/fwd, 184cm) or Koen Sanchez (WA fwd/mid, 176cm)
You have two POV's on experience over youth
1. North Melb / Haw .....rip the bandaid, go to the bottom and stink it up
2. Get a balance of experience & youth .....be competitive .....youth learn from on-field leaders & playing games, where there's a winning chance
With all the picks NORTH have received, throw GCS in as well .....they're youth still fails to develop ....you can't develop youth, getting walloped every week
With players now getting to 50+ games .....the need for experienced players like Sloane is diminished .....the youth are creating their own culture now ......I'm talking 2024 ....was a different scenario in 2022
Fair, retire in the sense of the Richard Douglas retirementyou mean delist Sloane, he's retiring as much as he chose to hand over the captaincy.
I could have used them ....didn't CARL though, go for 2nd hand experienced hacks ....I know MELB went the youth route .......fancy making 2nd year players joint Capt's ......it destroyed their careers.why do t you use Carlton and Melbourne as the examples anymore? Was all the rage a few years ago.
You can still use them. They took more than a decade to rebuild, and did numerous spluttering restarts.I could have used them ....didn't CARL though, go for 2nd hand experienced hacks ....I know MELB went the youth route .......fancy making 2nd year players joint Capt's ......it destroyed their careers.
Another one Port are saying they're into that we have no interest in from the looks of it.Brandon Zerk Thatcher from Essendon as a KPD target? out of contract this year.
don't know much about him other than he is from SA and has played 17 out of 18 games this year.
Murphy gets two years?I only see two reasons to smile. Anyone know what the third reason is?
The white feather?I only see two reasons to smile. Anyone know what the third reason is?
