Except for the fact he can't kick fori think laird would be very effective as a forward if we chose to rotate him through there.

Give us one………… I love reading themAnd why the fxxk do you think I’m “flying off the handle?”..
I’m sitting back two beers in all relaxed just responding to a few comments on here.. heart rates barely hitting 60..
just cause I‘ve spent my life on construction sites and use colourful language doesnt instantly mean I’m “flying off the handle”..
I'd be interested in his value currently, especially considering we could've picked him up as an nga prospect for nothing.Aleer mentioned on crowcast discord
I can't think of many players less suited to being a forward in our sidei think laird would be very effective as a forward if we chose to rotate him through there.
The problem with picking the same 23 players each week is they drop off over the course of a season due to injuries, fatigue, etc. Even if they are better than the guys in the reserves, it's about managing your resources over a long season.
We saw the same thing happen in previous seasons where we fell away around the time of the bye.
We managed guys like Soligo, Pedlar, Thilthorpe and Max too late, whilst stupidly playing Sloane every game (ignoring his form for a minute - it's dumb to keep playing a 33 year old coming off a knee reco every single week) and even guys like ROB, Laird and Dawson started looking fatigued in the back half of the year.
We need to get rid of this Neil Craig era obsession with continuity.
No…Yes Clam … but that wasn’t what we were discussing.
You said Laird was ordinary because his disposal was ineffective. My, and others, point is … that can’t be the reason because most of the best players in the Centre have poor disposal stats.
The only moron in this discussion is you.
Mate, you ALWAYS do thisYou bewilderingly tried to compare laird to cripps by using statistics to make some crazy claim that laird is somehow his equal..
Why would we be looking at Grundy? Why aren't we looking at Grundy?
It'd be nice to have a good ruck. Whether it's a priority is up for debate. Why would we be looking at Grundy?
Can we do a straight swap for ROB?Why would we be looking at Grundy?
Yeah... but Grundy hasn't been a good ruck for ages. It's doubtful he'd even be an upgrade on ROB, and there's no way he's worth spending any trade collateral on.It'd be nice to have a good ruck. Whether it's a priority is up for debate.
Always !Mate, you ALWAYS do this
You try and twist the argument to make the other poster seem like they’re trying to directly compare one of our guys to a player at another club, when it’s just comparing one aspect of their game
Would anyone take Laird over Cripps from an overall perspective? Of course not. That doesn’t mean we can compare certain skills of theirs
Suns need points this year for their academy players. They'd want pick 9 20 and 23 I'd thinkWonder if any clubs would want to move up to pick 9 in the draft for O'Sullivan or Wilson? Completely hypothetical but what if we swapped pick 9 for a F1 (of similar projected position)?
Trade that F1 or our F1 to suns along with 20, 23 for Pick 4. Maybe get an F3 back too (precious Welsh points).
Most probably not, but they are in with a chance and are still trying to bring players in to improve their shortcomings.
Which is completely irrelevant to the point being madeI've heard this self flagellation every year for a decade or more from our supporters about how Port 'do things the right way and have much better list' etc.
As it stands since both clubs inception 1 flag vs 2. And 2 GF appearances (Port) vs our 3 appearances.
