Strategy 2023 Midpricers Madness

Sounds like Yeo and Fyfe.

I;m not currently a buyer, but just using him as a comparison for a mid 400's 80 avge that can go 105-110 if fit.
He's still only 29-30. Had a full(ish) season in 2020 and went 110.
Missed less games than many seem to think. Seen far worse injury plagued guys being talked up....and plenty on their field that are not even regulars in their teams.
All guys that are very well priced come with an element of risk. Need to embrace that risk and chase it whenever looking for value....rather than pretending you can find great value with no risk.
For the price he's the type of soft risk that has often paid off in spades over previous years

DEF: Young (V), yeo coffield McKenna
MID: Titch (V), hopper Sheed mclean
FWD: standard 3, Milera, Fyfe, Allen

So which midpricers have I missed?
Bowes - unsure on role
HClark - WaynesWorld19 won’t let me join the league if I had him
Cunners - I’m still not sold
Ziebell - defender?
Draper - too cray cray - even for me. But, watching

Switch Perkins to 2nd and Davies 3rd and that is my 5. I've had Windhager for a little while and even when i make changes i keep ending up with a team with him at F4. Perkins ive tried to fit in but at his price i cant find a team im happy with to fit around him. Im not that bullish on him anyway.

Currently ive got Windhager/Allen/Sheezel/McLean/Drury from F4 to F8.

If you don't look at JHF over the PS ....you maybe making a big mistake ....I'll oscillate between Milera & JHF

Fyfe & Allen are definite NO's for me

I still have faith in Fyfe. Just 5/6 games needed. If he can play even 15% in the mid and can kick 2 goals a game he should be able to average 80+. There are obvious downsides but i feel like he is still classy enough to score above his price point. Fingers crossed that he doesnt get injured early. I can appreciate why people wouldnt start him for sure!

As for Allen, im really torn. I dont really want him on field because he probably will throw in 40s but then could hit 100 so his average may be at 65ish which id take, although 75+ would be my hope. Problem is its a headache with when to field him and if he doesnt hit form and throw in a streak of 3 good games, his price may not max out that high, or for that long. I'd love Phillipou to be fit and take his spot in my side but that seems a very farfetched hope!

On the other side, he'll get plenty of chances - he only need to convert a few.
WCE still need to post a score, let's say 10-12 goals per game - how many would have to come from Allen?

I hear you. He is probably my very last selected player in my team so if i can downgrade him then ill do so and ill find a way to spend the 90k from that trade.
