Would need someone to sell me on DeMattia if it were to eventuate. Has pace, but everything else I’ve seen just seems a bit vanilla. And we’ve got enough vanilla on the list.
Sure but we haven’t had vanilla pace since Shaun Atley retired.

So how acurate is the Carl Twomey normally?

Not a huge fan of his work tbh
It is a MOCK draft. He just makes it up to sell clicks for his employer. There will be a few he gets right and they will claim he has Nostradamus like powers of prediction. On the other hand, the misses will be ignored and forgotten.

He's usually as close as any mainstream commentator. His first round last year was close to the mark, his top 12 was a perfect reflection of what transpired.

He did suggest we'd take Tom McCallum with our second rounder last year though...

I get the impression that North aren't giving very much away on background to journos this year.

Cal Twomey Phantom Draft
3 Colby McKercher
4 Zane Duursma
20 Harry DeMattia
22 Riley Hardeman
23 Mitchell Edwards

Think I still prefer Fox Footy’s Phantom Draft although I do like Mitchell Edwards.

The outside / inside mid with speed is a need so tick with 3.

Duursma falls into the best at 4, and if that is him, fine with it. Also think the mid sized forward line will be a thing.

De Mattia is a funny one, not a need unless they move him back ....

Which is hy Hardeman is perfect, a definite need,

Edwards also ticks the ruckman box.

Only a KP defender and small forward is missing, although you could mount an argument they are preferring the Duursma type. Collard instead of De Mattie would give us 4/5 of the key needs.

He is normally pretty good for the top 10 or so, but this year is going to be difficult, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot of live trading so it could mess it up completely.

Can play in all 3rds of the ground, competitor, leader, super quick and can run all day. A lot of things we don’t have. Has a long left foot but a little erratic.

Heard from a good source Boomer & Spud Firrito are presenting the two first picks with their jumpers. Read into that what you will, I’ve got a feeling it’s McKercher and a big defender!

Boomer presenting Watson with a jersey would be pretty fantastic.

Most height-challenged ceremony ever.

Once we made the trade yeah it was

But I wanted Tsatas over wardlaw mainly due to his hammies which are still not proven and a risk. And Tsatas being that tall big mid
The big tall mid thats shorter than Duursma? That one? 🤣

Edwards I really like but character a big question.

Demattia and Hardeman? Would we address KPD?
I keep reading that with no apparent reason. Funny how every single WA prospect has character/homesick issues..
