Rogers predominantly plays through the midfield whilst Watson is a predominatly a small forward
Exactly
People should be more worried about small mids rather than small forwards

Newsflash a small forward is supposed to be small it’s in the name of the role ffs

So if we draft him he'll be a spud but a premiership player?
Spud is still to be seen for young Reid. Premiership player is guaranteed.
A future 270+ game, 500+ goal kicking fwd?
Well, this would be nice. But stats lie. Darling has the footy nous of a slice of toast and benefited from Kennedy massively.

Maybe... but they formed an effective team and if we get the same result with Reid and Larkey - well only one flag would be underachieving given how talented "the kids" seem - so if we get a similar or better outcome then it works.

How does A. Reid compare to Logan McDonald?

Clarko has a history of overpaying for top end talent. I reckon North end up with Reid and we burn a fair few picks to get there including pick 2. Not against it and trust his ability to develop an A-Grade game plan that gets the most out of A-Grade talent.

How can we get Caleb Windsor?

I’m pretty confident he’ll be around the mark for pick 15. May go a pick or two before or a pick or two after.

I’d be very curious to know how far he is up on our board, very similar player to Dylan Stephens/Bailey Scott.

If we end up with one of Windsor or Wilson with pick 15 I’ll be a very happy man.

Draft strategy very interesting this year. 2-3 will be best available. Likely going to be Mckertcher and Duursma seems to be logic. They seem likely to be 200+ game players who have big impacts on games.

The 3 end of first round picks regardless of WC fans say about them have a lot of value. We could potentially draft Reid, Collard, I’m really hoping Murphy slides for KPD and Green a future ruck. Possible in 3-5 years this draft with key talls could be instrumental in finals run.
There is value to be had from players there in the draft.

Not sure if already posted. But I don’t know. All seems a little strange that’s all. One minute he is ranked second. Then like 6 or 7 after Dursma, Watson and Sanders, and now 2 again?

The secret is it’s all opinion. Recruiting managers see things they like and guess with where the game is going.
Stats play some role for them but eye test more important.
Key position and rucks notorious for being difficult to draft.

I hope we get Wilson and play him alongside WillPhill.

Nothing better than a bit of Wilson Phillips..

picks 2 & 3 are top end talent, and we don't have to overpay for them.

After us winning the last game, Clarko said that having pick 1 was overrated because history suggests that not many premierships come from pick 1 players, so why would we give up the kitchen sink to get it. No, IMO we will keep picks 2 and 3 and upgrade to try and get a pick 7 or 8. Otherwise we keep what we have to fill our list with talent.
