Like every interview with Carr is like
"the team needs to do better, and that starts with me... 😭😭😭"

- the media
"ohh he has so much heart, look at how much he cares."

That s**t isnt going to go down well with the NY media.

How many others can get away with quitting on a team after being benched?

Well I mean that's not entirely fair to lump all on him imo.

The team didn't want him, and they also wouldn't have wanted to play him whatever happened for risk of injury guaranteeing just over $40m, as far as it was reported his absence was mutually agreed.

Why are they suggesting Fields has only played one season? They do know hes been in the league for two right?
A lot of the bots are trained on older information. So it's not unusual for them to not be fully up to date.

The new Bing Bot wanted to argue with someone that it's 2022 and the new Avatar film comes out in December and they'd have to wait 😂

Christ knows why you'd deal with Bing unless your Russell Wilson

The smart thing for the Bears to do is trade pick 1 and have it feature a 1 and 2 next season and a 1 this year. If Fields is still not progressing use it to trade up for a better QB next season. Young isnt the answer.
This is precisely what I want us to do.

Fields may well not turn out to be elite, but surely he deserves a chance to succeed with more than the practice squad esq side he had ‘supporting’ him last season

The Athletic's Bob Sturm writes Ezekiel Elliott "has one option for employment above the league minimum and it is right here in Dallas."

"I think the answer is that given the number of analysts and scouts I have talked to about Elliott this year and the consensus opinion is in stone. He has very little left in his legs and the word is out," Sturm leads with. Well, people do watch football. It's already been reported by Tony Pauline earlier this offseason that Elliott was facing a massive paycut. It sounds like the market may be tepid enough for him to remain a Cowboy no matter what. The real question in that scenario is: Just how much runway would Elliott get to keep being a focal point in Dallas' running game?

ESPN's Jenna Laine writes of Cameron Brate: "It was clear he was taking stock in his life and what's next after suffering a concussion this season and a neck sprain that resulted in him leaving the field on a stretcher."

Brate has been bandied about as a cap casualty for the Bucs this offseason between the emergence of Cade Otton and Tampa's desperate cap space situation. The news here is that he also might be considering retirement after missing six games to some scary injuries. Moving on from Brate would only save $2 million in cap space for the Bucs.

He absolutely doesn't have a future at centre.

If they didn't earn ridiculous millions of dollars, you'd almost feel sorry for players like Zeke.

Man has absolutely fallen off a cliff. Can't run and is useless in the pass game. Almost needs to get bigger and turn himself into a FB or 3rd down specialist. He's done as a 1st down back in this league.

I can't believe we're at a point where multiple teams think Derek Carr is their missing piece.
When you get him in the door for no trade compensation, it adds to his value.

Having to trade a shed load of picks for other top QBs makes teams tell themselves that he's a better option.

:rolleyesv1:

Jets so thirsty, Teddy laughing at the idea of Carr being a first ballot HOF sums it up well.

They're not getting him for nothing though. He's going to get a contract in the 30-35mil range you'd reckon, maybe higher.

That's a lot of money to invest in a QB who over the course of his career has shown that he's nothing more than painfully average. Would be such a Jets thing to do to sign him.

The fact hes far worse than he usually is in the cold makes the Jets decision to go after him even more baffling.

Carr is 0-6 in games where the temperature is under 37 degrees. In those six games, he has never scored more than 17 points, and has only one game with a passer rating over 78.

In those games, he has failed to top 222 passing yards in five out of six contests, has never thrown more than one touchdown in any game, and has thrown a total of eight interceptions
