NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports the Titans released Robert Woods.

It was a forgettable season for Woods in Tennessee, where the declining veteran caught 49 passes for 487 yards and posted a career-worst 9.9 yards per reception. Woods was set to be a $14.6 million hit against the salary cap in 2023 -- far too high for a veteran who profiles as a team's WR3 or WR4. Look for Woods to ink a one-year deal for a team that could use him in a complementary role.
Chargers should look at him. it seems outside of Cali he becomes a worse player.

They might as a cheap replacement for Keenan Allen who apparently is a cut candidate.

Carr is 0-6 in games where the temperature is under 37 degrees. In those six games, he has never scored more than 17 points, and has only one game with a passer rating over 78.

In those games, he has failed to top 222 passing yards in five out of six contests, has never thrown more than one touchdown in any game, and has thrown a total of eight interceptions
Most were pretty decent teams with better than average defences. These are 10 games played under 40 degrees.

Hardly a ringing endorsement no matter which way you spin it. Particularly when he'd be playing in a tough division.
Away against a better team..happens. Small sample. Hasn’t Rodgers got a shit record away v winning teams?

I wouldnt trade for potentially one year of Rodgers either, you just know that drama queen is going to play the "I might retire" game next offseason.

In other words, the Jets are ****ed.

They can probably make the playoffs with a vet, but they aren't going anywhere deep sadly. They really needed Wilson to work out. Now its just about the coaching staff and GM trying to save their jobs with a vet and respectable record coz they bombed hard on pick 2/couldnt develop a QB for shit.

As the top comment says, that is literally what it was made out to be.

Also doesn't change the fact that extended sensory deprivation is a known torture technique, or that days of solitary confinement is used as punishment in prisons, and yet there are apparently people that want to do those things voluntarily and are willing to pay money to do so

Just cos the Browns were dumb asses for giving fully guaranteed contract doesn't mean one of the best run organization are stupid enough to do it especially for a guy who is bound to miss handful of games each season due to his play style. His contract should be for more guaranteed money than Russ's deal but no where near Watsons.

Trade him to Jets or Falcons or Panthers or Colts already. Ravens would have to get a fortune of picks for him better than watsons and russ trade packages.

Its like the dumbasses who believe drinking untreated water is good for you, and pay a fortune for the privilege of having diarrhea

Panthers cant afford him from a cap standpoint. Thankfully.

Well it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out ... Not sure anyone other than the browns would cut a fully guaranteed contact. I wonder if a meet in the middle will end up being an option.
I think you underestimate the desperation of some teams.

There were multiple teams lining up to trade a number of picks for an apparent sexual predator - who's to say teams like the Falcons, Jets or Panthers (especially so given Tepper's temperament) wouldn't pony up the $? I don't think the Ravens would give out a fully guaranteed contract, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were willing to go to something like 75% guaranteed

Doesn't help that Lamar is his own agent.

Feel like the old saying he who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client is applicable for this situation.

No agent and demanding a record guaranteed contract...this is pure greed.
