hate speech is not free speech. and censorship is still there, it just moved to fit in with Musk's politics and unbanned toxic people.

the recommended tab has become a cesspool of hate and ignorance.
Nothing worse than censorship. At least people are free to debate

That's just what most areas of social media and the internet is now.

The majority of online personas, whether it be under their real name or a nickname, exists only to bring others down.

You could see a news post about curing cancer and 10 out of 15 of the first comments would probably be negative :tearsofjoy:

Good on you for thinking that only 10 of the first 15 comments would be from the anti-vax or batshit crazy communities.

It's still far better to promote/allow full range of topics and speech than to restrict it, punish it, control it and condition.

Every other place is already like that or went that way, including pre-Musk Twitter. Youtube, Facebook, Google, etc. BF too. It's wrong.

Open > Closed. Regardless the gate speech, the false beliefs, the lies, misinfo, that goes both ways, and so many deluded people....at least you can engage and opine, debate, learn yourself or educate others who are gullible, expose the frauds, the shills. You can ignore all that and focus on anything else....football groups, history groups, whatever. But at least you have the range there if you want.

I disagree.

It's very important that I'm only exposed to opinions that I agree with. Because that's what the real world is like.

What was it like just now being exposed to my differing opinion? How did it feel responding to it?

I'm losing interest in American Football (rugby league more now)

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reports the Patriots have shopped Mac Jones to several teams.

A full list of potential suitors for Jones isn't yet know. Florio said the Patriots have talked with the Raiders, Texans, Buccaneers, and Commanders about Jones this offseason, and that a trade could still happen. "The Raiders are the ones to keep watching," Florio said. "Jimmy Garoppolo‘s contract lands in the low-end of middle class for starters, and Jones has two years left under a slotted rookie deal, before his fifth-year option would apply." Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was reportedly "agitated" with Jones for his on-field tantrums during the 2022 season and for seeking outside help in improving the struggling Pats offense. "That really pissed Bill off," NBC Sports' Tom Curran said. It's possible the Patriots would take a quarterback in the 2023 draft if they deal Jones, as Bailey Zappe doesn't profile as anyone's idea of a long-term starter.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Ravens have made an offer to Odell Beckham.

The details of the offer have not been disclosed, but the Ravens are now the second team rumored to have made an official offer to the veteran receiver. As Schefter points out, the courting of OBJ has been "one of the longest free agent recruitments that we've ever seen." He's not wrong, as OBJ met with several teams at the midway point of last season, before failing to receive a contract, and has spoken to several other suitors this offseason. The Jets and Ravens appear to be two of the stronger contenders for Beckham's services at this point, with the Rams also remaining somewhat in the mix.

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports some teams believe the Cardinals could cut DeAndre Hopkins.

Trading Hopkins has proven difficult for the Cardinals early on, as teams appear unwilling to meet the Cardinals' asking price in a trade while also knowing Hopkins also wants a new contract. If Hopkins is cut, it's possible the Cardinals would look to cut him as a post-June 1 designation, which would save $19.45 million against the cap for this season. Entering his age-31 season, Hopkins would undoubtedly have a strong market as a free agent. He posted a 64-717-3 line in just nine games last season and would provide an immediate boost to a contending team in search of receiving help.

Can't see a big market for him. Especially as the Panthers have stopped looking at retreads.

What would you get for Jones trade wise after last season? Maybe a 4th?

But good luck on your travels GG.exe , see you in the dynasty threads 😘

Whatever! GG.exe is our own version of Tom Brady. Will be back, bigger than ever.

Only thing missing from his bigfooty resume is the rumour that he will be QBing the 49ers in 2023.

Can't believe you're trying to get Rodgers to backup Kirk if he doesn't make it to the Jets.

I know you say this in jest, but this could be the most profound statement I have ever read on bigfooty.

Kudos to you sir!

With Lamar Jackson on the practice squad.

49ers off season QB dramas is easy social media clickbait.

It is easier to ask who hasn't been linked to the 49ers. I remember when Shanahan got asked when appointed what his plans were for QB...he responded with something along the lines of you look everywhere and explore all options to find the right QB for the team....I guess 6 years on everyone still takes that too literally.
