I have edited my above post with apologies on membership. You can in fact see what seats are available
This was not available when i first looked at changing my seats. Not sure when it started
If you want to see what's available but not actually purchase tickets

Go to Lions membership
Click on package
Choose Adult etc click buy now
A stadium map appears (image below shows "Full Stadium")
The green dots are the sections with available seats
You can choose "Full Stadium" or one of the tiers. Upper, Mid, Lower
Then click on the green dot section
Available seats appear in green for that section and all others if you scroll out. Or escape and click another section

NOTE: I chose Premium for this example so the stadium is not as full as it appears on image

G'day all - long time lurker, first time poster. Apologies if there is a more suitable thread for this question. Looking at a Lions membership for the first time in 2023, wondering if you have the ability to select your own seat or even section? Beyond the different price brackets I can't seem to find a step in the process to select a preferred seat - I'm assuming it's randomly assigned?
Over 20 years as a member of the Gabba and I've found the Lions to be fantastic. Our group started out as just two mates watching footy, then we started bringing each of our first born at 4 years old, then second born as well and finally added more mates and now have a block of 9 seats together. As the kids started coming the Lions proactively rand us and asked if we wanted to move to the end of a row so the little kids could get to the toilet and would be climbing between people. Then we re-organised ourselves to capture spare seats around us and the Lions help adjust people to fit us in. If you have any concerns at all I fully recommend you call, they know the seating plans and up-to-date membership renewals, and once in our case where sats were blocked out online but the person only had a 3 game membership. They have always been genuinely helpful to us.

I think the morning sessions start at 7am. Definitely training by 8am.

Briztoon, you're our draft expert. We expect you to be more precise.

I am assuming that tomorrow mornings training session might be the last of the year?
Anyone know roughly what time it generally starts? briztoon
Might head along.

Time lapse still works on days prior to being shut down
Looking at time lapse for last Friday 9/12/22
A few players appear around 7.45am.
The main group started to appear on the ground about 7.48am
Below image at 7.52am

Todays training session is the last for the year. The coach's/players all plan to get there around 7.00am for a start time of 8.00am.
They resume training again on the 10th Jan.

Boys put in a sold session for the last one of the year, at least 2.5hrs on the track. Most ran around the 12k mark (was standing close to the fella keeping an eye on their running) doing mostly drills rather than just running as such.

Towards the end of the session they did a fantastic drill with 3 groups of 12 designed specifically for defensive running and defensive transition.
It was a full ground drill where 2 of the groups (one with the ball and one without would move the ball from kick in towards the other goal. If the ball went out of bounds or the ball was turned over the defending team would sit out and the attacking team would then have to transition into defense, the team who sat out that first drill would already be set up for a kickin on the other side of the field and would start their attacking chain, it was all designed for the other team to have to gut run to the other side of the ground to stop or slow down their ball movement.
It was a great drill that they just ran over and over. They ran 3 sets where it was run continually over about an 6-8 minute period for each set with a couple of minutes spell in between each set.
It was a drill I had never seen before but I thought it was a great little drill.

All of the boys look magnificent, and as briztoon said last week they all appear to have slimmed down significantly with defensive running font of mind in that respect.

Both Zorko and Rich are 2 that appear to have leaned out the most, Zorko in particular is looking in the best shape I have seen him since probably the 2019 season.

Daniher, McCarthy, Answerth, Rich, Lyons, Brain and Oscar were doing mostly running drills along the side line. Rich is running really well for him.

Gardiner, Berry, Michael did very little with some work off the ground on the bikes.

Lachie Neale didn’t appear to be there at all.

Dev did nothing after a solid hit from Oscar on Wednesday, he has a decent set of stitches above his left eye and some decent swelling on that side of his face, hope he heals ok or my daughter will be devastated ❤️

Shadeau Brain appears to be a bit of a natural in front of goal.

Jack Gunston just doesn’t miss.

Glad I went along because it was a really good hard session before the break and they were heading to the gym afterwards.

If anyone has any question I will try my best to answer.

Perhaps I havent seen it in the pics, but is there not meant to be a second oval to and if so where is that going?
Havent had a chance to get down there yet.
The second oval will be across the road at the Eden Staion Drive end of the facility.

Thanks for the training report Dalions much appreciated

Last week i noticed all the guys just doing mostly running had black watches. Usual for running drills i imagine
At the time i did not think to have a look and see if everyone had a watch.

The reason i bring this up is an article today about the Crows & Apple watches. See link below

Maybe Mighty_Lions can advise if we have something similar other than the GPS devices, players have on the back of guernseys
If not, maybe Google can help out ?

I’m pretty sure most of our boys wear a gps vest under their training tops. I saw them all wearing them last week when I was at training.

I’m pretty sure you can see the vests in the TT photos.

They should be able to track distance, speed, data for specific segments and drills. Heart rate, oxygen levels, aerobic or anaerobic activity, fluid loss, and more.

thanks to all those capable of getting to training and providing reports

is mckenna participating in all of the drills, and if yes - how does he look?
He has been looking pretty good so far to me.
Moving well, kicking well, running well.
And is doing all of the work.

How’d cockatoo handle the running?

Today wasn’t running as running, all just running within drills.
But he has not shown any signs of slowing down or labouring.
He is a bit like Rayner when it comes to actual running it is much different to running within the playing drills.
His movement and athleticism is a real standout at times and he gives 100% to everything he does.
