I know we had all hoped to be better but if you look at our 5 losses in a row.
Melbourne - Top 4 certainty
Sydney interstate - Last years gf
Collingwood - Premiership favourite
Dogs - gf in 21, had won 5 in a row and will push for top 4 this year
Lions- Prelim last year, will push for top 4

Most supporters want to blow up the joint, but did we really expect to win any of these games? If we are a 6-10 side we were no chance, the Saints loss is probably the one that hurt us most, and Crows have shown they are a force at home.. the hysteria most are showing atm is toxic, need to win the next couple and hit the bye with a bit of momentum.

If you cast your mind back to 2021. The media was pushing the feel good give Ratten and Voss a go narrative.

Harshly done by, plied their time, give them a go and they will succeed.

Footy classified did segments on this for weeks and weeks. I think they even talked of the AFL wanting to see coaches back in the system

Our coaching appointment strategy was

Get Clarko.

Get Lyon.

Ok Voss it is...

Kingsley not marketable and not a coach without training wheels.

We held onto Teague for far too long.
Then had senior players in r22 begging the club to keep Teague. It was a messy exit.

Given the parameters we set for new coach hire was, must have previous experience.

It left Voss.

RTB was our man, we let him slip through our fingers

Do you get the feeling Voss is now trying to gaslight us as fans, subvert the narrative?
We’re not good enough he said, meaning the playing list I suppose.
Hmmm, the same list with 2 Coleman medallist’s, the current Brownlow medallist and 5 all Australian squad members. That one?
I think I know where more of the problem sits, the players are not blameless but… thoughts?

Got my fingers crossed that, Martin, Marchbank and Cuningham, are able to get through the 2s game with some endeavor, because we need a touch a class desperately, otherwise we ain’t going anywhere.

We need sick notes like that off the list and not clogging up cap and list space.

That Cunningham is still on our list says everything about how we are going no where.

Not his fault but he should have been delisted already. Given us next to nothing but been on the list for 7 years.

How a player like Fogarty is also on the list boggles the mind.

We all know he's no good and yet the club apparently thinks we should be still using a spot on the list for him.

Voss needs to man up with these comments.
if the team aint good enough as he states he needs to drop the players whom aint performing.

id say his gas tank is full.

He has a point, Voss coming out with his talk of the game plan supposedly taking the game on & being more attacking is not exactly jelling with his actions & defence focus in his interviews
And if the team aint good enough, why are players like Dow not getting a chance to prove themselves?

Voss has pulled out a big spade.

Um Sydney were missing all their KPPs and Mills.

The Dogs are bog average.

Dees were badly out of form - and displayed that last night.

You're making excuses.

There is no evidence Voss is a good coach, but a lot of evidence that he isn’t a good coach.

I understand the desire for stability etc, but all the examples given in the past where it’s paid off like Thompson, Hardwick, Buckley and Goodwin, they had all coached their respective sides to finals appearances and finals wins.

Giving Voss more time is beginning to look like if Melbourne wanted to give Mark Neeld more time. Sometimes things just don’t work.

In saying that, I’m giving him 2 weeks to get at least 1 win. That surely isn’t a high bar.

It is if your cattle aren't particularly good.

We expected to be competitive.

In none of those 5 straight matches have we managed to:
  • kick 12 goals (and we haven't managed NINE in a month)
  • get closer than 17 points of the opposition

We are playing the most impotent football i can remember. We had four players kick a goal last night. We had three players kick goals against Collingwood.

Right now, we aren't a 6-10 team, we are a 15-18 team. In year 8 of the rebuild, with the salary cap maxxed out and a list in its prime.

It isn't just unwatchqbke on field, but it also looks pretty hopeless for the future. Where does improvement come from, this year or beyond? Again - we haven't kicked more than 8 goals in a month. How on earth do we expect to 'win the next couple and hit the bye with momentum'? It would be a colossal turnaround in form to do that...

I think the fact we are in year 8 of this rebuild is just incredible depressing. We seem miles off and it doesnt look like we will be turning it around any time soon. :(

Not sure what you expect him to say? We are good enough at the moment? And that wouldn't be gaslighting?

'We' is the collective as a whole. No need to overthink it.

No I don’t think so … you see he says we’re not good enough as in we are therefore including himself so in fact he is saying he is not good enough as well
