Afl player ratings rated him number 1 in the hawthorn win. But the other game yes. He wasn’t rated as high as I suggested.

Coaches didn't rate him in the top 5-6, and they are the ones making the selection calls, not AFL player ratings or Champion Data.

Good changes.

Hewett for Kennedy was obvious, hopefully George recaptures his form from last year.

TDK was always coming in if fit. I would have preferred SOS to make way to really stretch Port defensively, but no issue.

Huge list of outs for Port, this game is very winnable. Massive game too...which worries me.

Obvious changes.

I think Marchbank will probably come in for Gov late and Hollands will be sub.

If Gov passes his final test, Hollands will still be sub.

Not sure if hope is a justifiable selection criteria. His body of work this year has been decidedly below average. Negative metres gained in multiple matches including his last.

Actually their outs are huge.

They have a noticeably worse team this week on paper, a number of young inexperienced players and older players passed their best coming in.

You'd think cohesion might take a slight hit too when making 7 changes.

This is as good a chance as we will get to catch a break and make a run for finals.

Life can be busy, I get that

I must have missed those likes 😉

You also must have missed the mod notice on the use of repetitive emojis.

We can either agree or disagree to content and I don't see my opinions on Dow as negative, just realistic

Dow has strengths along with weaknesses, which I have shared numerous times

Perhaps stick to the subject matter, as this is not debating content

Dow has accumulated high numbers at, VFL level not AFL level, but his defensive flaws are still present. So not sure why you are in disagreement or think it's funny, given its factual

I have touched on both. Dow has improved in many areas, but I still feel he is well behind in defensive acts.

Even the VFL commentator in his last VFL game mentioned his defensive flaws

So it is clearly valid

I guess it depends if the focus is just possessions, or all aspects of a players game

Binns is the highest rated player in the VFL, but the discussions always seem to focus on Dow being hard done by

Anyway, appreciate you taking the time to respond

The mod notice was about using the laughing emoji to troll.

Hollands is a curious one still needs more touch in the VFL. Dow better as sub… if he’s leaving no need to give him full games in the VFL anyway and his 1-2 quarter impacts have been good.
