One change I feel that has gone unnoticed is they’ve gone from a 7,7,7 to a 7,6,8 set up with cameos.

I think they’ve massively focused on keeping fresh legs in the front half to keep the pressure up. So now they consistently go for:

  • 2 wings playing 90 percent (this week hollands and acres) with cotta playing wing cover for 20.
  • 4 central mids rotating the 3 spots (this week Cripps cerra hewett Doc)

  • CC 95 percent game time
  • SOS/(now tdk) 60 forward 20 ruck
  • cotta 65 forward after his wing cover
  • leaving 380 between 5 players (Martin Fogarty Cuners owies and Motlop).

It’s a lovely balance. The midfield is tough and hard as hell. The forwards will apply enormous pressure. Set up for the interceptors to try and mark and launch.

We are a chance to cause them some real problems.

As good as a team we can put out in the circumstances and love Marchy in for flexibility he gives us if wanting to put Kemp or Gov fwd.

This team good enough to make it very competitive - a win not beyond the realms

Thoughts on what we do with Ed Curnow?

With Martin back he won't get a spot on the HFF.

He has been picked as sub a few times but I don't love him in that role.

The only role I see him playing is a hard tag on Daicos.
He’s simply not up to handling Daicos, maybe Sidebottom off a wing but he shouldn’t be anywhere amongst the midfield mix…
Love him but he shouldn’t be in the starting lineup…

Not named in team…

Super excited about the game tomorrow, liking the look of the team that we have named, there's no reason why we can't take it right up to them.

Good that Hollands has kept his spot.

8 players not playing from when we last played.

hollands? when was he in danger of getting pushed out? played a beautiful game last week ...................and that missile to charlie.........

I like the changes but can't help but feel we're a midfielder short.

Suspect Dow is a late replacement for Motlop or is the sub if not.

Think we will just give guys like Fog and Cunners more mid time. Doc mid all game.

Might even roll someone like Cotts in there a bit given we have Hollands and Acres for the wings.

Given Ed C is out I wouldn't be surprised if Cotts got the job on NDaicos.

Marchy, Gov and Kemp?
Will there be a late change?

Nah we just going in taller I reckon. Should be fine as they are all relatively mobile.

Actually matches Collingwoods forwards well.

Mcstay - Weitering
Cox - Marchbank
Mihochek - Kemp
Elliott - Gov

All those 4 forwards are aerial threats. The latter 2 being mobile too.
