Selections or more importantly, availability of players, will the key to this game.
Our pressure dropped off during the WC game. We can't afford that at any time. Need to be ready to fight for every ball.

It didn't drop off. We were knackered because of no fit players coming off the bench so nobody got a rest.

I don't think Collingwood were that impressive tonight.
Will depend on who is fit for us.
That’s the thing though….they may not look too impressive but somehow they get the job done. we need to study their game carefully.

Agree it’s going to be difficult if we can’t get some of our injured players back.

would love to face them with our near best 22 side

Ok so the running numbers are huge for Hollands, Acres, and Cottrell, but from what I'm seeing, all were fairly conservative given their game time.

I don't think Hollands plays next week, and I think Acres will be on closely managed minutes, possibly even getting subbed out if the game blows out either way.

Never stated he should be dropped

You said he's lucky not to be dropped. I don't believe the selectors share that opinion.

Marchbanks is best 22 when fit, reckon he replaces Cowan this week.

Port vs Collingwood match of the round so far. Hopefully we bring it next week with a W. Our head-to-head ledger stands at, from 263 games, Collingwood 131 wins to Carlton 128 (and 4 draws). So we owe them a loss on their side. Of course, we've met six times in Grand Finals, with Carlton successful five times to Collingwood's one.

Okay, let's go back

Firstly, he didn’t opitimise our turnaround, his first 3 games back after being dropped for similar poor defensive decisions, were all losses.

Secondly, he is lucky that Young has gone off the boil and Marchbank still struggling with continuity

Cowan aside, Kemp is still our most inconsistent defensive player, that concerns me

On the plus side, love that he continues to back himself, is quick, aggressive runner wanting to break lines and mongrel

He is young and will continue to improve, so plenty of upside
