I don't understand all the chest beating here. Am I the only one who is not at all happy with the win? Our season now looks to have an asterisk on it all over a rather dubious score review.

Don't get me wrong, 8 in a row looks sweet on paper, but it now looks undeserved.

The game will always have controversies. But this one kills me inside. I want my team fighting and winning fair.

Wouldn't it have also been better to lose that one for the sake of the players' psychological approach? I don't want them getting ahead of themselves now in these last two games.
funny funny stuff........

I'm not talking down our last seven wins. They were superb. We are looking threatening and I'd be lying if I said I didn't get swept up in it a little.

It's just this match which bothers me now. Imagine if we were to play the GF and/or win the flag (don't see it happening myself). Everyone is going to point back to this very game and how it could have wrongly changed everything.

What would be worse is the AFL coming out and agreeing that score review was wrong. I want our season and comeback to be defined by pure determination and hard work. Not by a dodgy goal umpire decision.

Mate, you’re reducing the game down to one moment. We were enormous the whole game. Despite being depleted we matched it with team at full strength.

Also. He touched it.

That would be correct, 7 tackles, 410m gained & 6 score involvements & game high centre clearance- reckon he can play abit
Dow is one of those list management decisions you hope hasn't been set in stone

Gold Coast and GWS won’t be gimmes by any means but there is more than a glimmer of top 4 now…

Melbourne no certainties against Hawthorn and then travelling to Sydney, who may need to win to make finals. If we go into the Giants game with the double chance on the line that will be even more incentive to keep the streak alive!

So proud for the team and you lot. Those who stood strong and didn’t flinch are seeing unimaginable rewards. The emotional ones (including myself) will be learning a thing or two.

Cannot wait to come back to Oz and watch the repeats.
I don’t mind admitting I’m a flincher. They broke me mid season.
How they’ve put themselves and so many of us back together is the truly amazing thing!!!

The ball was touched.

Now you can sleep................................your welcome
touched or not, it was several disgraceful umpiring calls prior that kept the ball coming back to the Dee's F50. When a player is getting slung as he is tackled and it ends up oob cause all the team mates are in the D 50, how is that 'insufficient intent'? Mind boggling decisions in a game where I thought the umps did a better than average job till those last few minutes.

Dubious?? It was Umpire's Call. The Umpire 1m from the play.

If it helps, you can review below and see the ball on Marchbank's right arm.

Maybe but the only way I would be sure myself is if Caleb himself was truly adamant it touched his arm. I never happened to catch that.

I'm sure he would do such a thing. Seems like someone who would truly play by the rulebook.

Umpire's in best position. Let them run the game. The umpiring doesn't affect the result - it never does. We got the points against a very good side, I am embracing it, and I encourage you to do the same...

I have often wondered how this place would feel if we won a flag. I think I have just had it proven to me in this thread that there would be at least one poster complaining that the grand final showed weaknesses and they were worried about our premiership defence.
yep - been sayin it for years - one of our blokes will kick the sealer in the granny and there'll be someone screaming that we paid too much for him..........
