He was in career best form and jumping over the top of opposition ruckmen. Question is what impact the knee will have on his athleticism.

Harry, given knee, certainly shouldn't be doing ruck work.

TDK often struggles against the much taller/bigger rucks... Witts stands 208+ (thought he was 210) and weighs 110+

Reckon JSOS will struggle against him.

Pitto to ctrash him, soften him up then TDK in spurts to jump over him.

JSOS ok against the 2m rucks....

I am a big believer that we are better off with JSOS than Pitto in the team. However, Voss has made it pretty clear he prefers Pitto, so it appears to be JSOS or Harry, which is an easy one for mine.

TDK as primary ruck. JSOS as back-up ruck / part time forward (his form prior to injury was outstanding).
HARRY to play true CHF and be the connecting marking forward when we're coming out defence whilst Charlie plays closer to home.

Pittonet not in best 22. Doesn't impact for mine and gets easily exposed - look at what Marshall did to him two weeks ago.

Must admit, I love H but I do think itll be really interesting where he fits. What happens if we put him in and lose this week? Like many have mentioned I think Pittonet helps TDK a hell of a lot from a freshness perspective and why both Marshall (who was probably BOG in the first half then ran out of steam) and Gawn last week werent dominant. Yet I worry dropping a small hurts our pressure which has become our one wood. If TDK was holding his marks, particularly long down the line, like Harry does, I honestly think we'd be touch and go with having him in our structural best side. For me of all the players to come back he is the most intriguing, as you know they will certainly and understandably play him.

IMO Harry walks straight back into the side, no questions asked. Charlie needs the help and we need somebody running further up the ground at crucial times clunking marks to hold up the opposition. He would have been very handy in the dying minutes of last weeks game.

people devour "clickbait" then bleat about it being shameless.....
as long as you are able to apply some sort of critical analysis when consuming social media and not actually believing that much of it makes any sense at all, it can be quite entertaining at times.

Yeah certainly agree we particularly miss his up the field presence, as I said if TDK was holding those marks I just wonder. But yes I just think its an interesting discussion and one we dont have a heap of time to get it right. At the end of the day we arent going to have the luxury of getting it wrong week 1 of finals.

2 talls 1 ruck fwd 2 medium 2 smalls
3 runner/ wingers
4 inside mids 1 ruck
0ne Weibot 2 hybrid 4 smaller running defenders
One sub
This is how we will structure I believe - Voss wants clearance dominance so want Pitto to make space for his insiders to go to work - he won't risk losing centre bounces with a smaller ruck to gain a little run from his ruckman when he plays 3 wings and 4 small running backs

As long as the two rucks are fit I doubt that either would be dropped. It appears that Pittonet is in fact best 22 in the view of those at the club and that's what counts.

To be fair, we are doing fine with the set up we are going with right now. I think this discussion centres more around our desire to want to bring Jack back in than it is about fixing any problem with the ruck set up.

IMO, Pitto and TDK are walk up starts. We need a proper ruck on the field at all times allowing our elite stoppage game to thrive best. Neither are a "great" ruck yet. But together are a great combo for OUR team to thrive.

Harry is a walkup start (as if that needs to be stated) when fit, to partner Charlie.

Jack Martin is thriving in the "3rd tall" role.

This all leaves JSOS as out, but knocking the door down.

I think a lot of people here are forgetting how well JSOS was going when he hurt his knee.

For mine him replacing Pitto is an easy selection.

And of course, Harry , even easier.

Whoever out will be very unlucky .
Absolutely Harmesy, (he was my favourite player when I was a young fella).

That last four games he strung together, Jack that is. Was probably his best run of form in his career imo.

I know he still has some deficiencies, however he has a huge heart, is a wonderful competitor and reads the play so well.

This week I am hoping they rest big Pitt and Jack plays his normal role. TDK loves being the top dog in the ruck and with the way Pitt is moving. Seems like he might benefit from a weeks rest.

Going to be great to have Harry back as well, have full faith in our medical team now. He will be cherry ripe. Maybe play him higher up the ground, leaving Charlie to lead out of the goal square and kick a few.

Reckon they will give Doc the week off and Boyd needs to be sub.

Blues by 27.

Looking forward to big H returning and I’d bet Charlie is too.
Charlie has shouldered a heavy load in the last month being double/triple teamed.
Charlie deep and H around half forward leading up to take the kicks from defence.
Whilst GC are sweating over the 2 big guns, Martin provides the dangerous third marking target …

Harry will be itching to be involved and get the ball to Charlie.

Charlie: "Harry, Get me the ball"
Harry: "I'm going to get you the ball"

yup, though you'd think they're more than aware of Martin's mercurial ability.

Yep! 3 can run after Charlie who marks it 60 out, if there are another 3 for Harry, then what's all the other forwards doing!
great chance to free up all the other forwards who have all had great patches throughout the past 2 months.

I think that jsos would just bounce off Jarrod Witts. Definitely need Pitto/TDK.

Fair point, is Witts going to ruck for 120 mins? If he does, then I agree Pitt would be handy.

Going to be 22 degrees at the first bounce. The team that has the most run in the last quarter will have the advantage.

Hopefully the MC will make the right calls.
