Stewart > Daicos

Jones > McKenna if he doesn’t play, if not maybe Chesser > Callaghan

Considering Flanders > Sheezel too but I’ll probably wait a week there to see how they go when not against one of the best/worst teams respectively.

Will Day was bad too but his DT was really high so he can stay another week.

Only trade will be Jelly to Tom Green if Jelly is out, can't afford a promo to miss a week this early and with this many trades

Terrible start.

Dale, Clark, Brodie, Ash, Wanganeen-Milera, Hopper, Grundy, Bruhn, Flanders all on the watch list...

Coleman and Jelly were doing great until their concussions.

Gawn still looks one of the most reliable SP performers you can go with.
Sheezel's role and cash gen potential look tasty.
So Marshall and Cunnington out for Gawn and Sheezel with a chunk of cash leftover.

Jelly concussed, tempted to get another mid in but maybe not the biggest priority as he can just be benched for the 1 week.

Sticking with Hopper and Bruhn for now. Only concern about the latter is role, was surprised to see him shunted out to the wing or on the pine so much after his good early start. But I could see both bouncing back with 80+ next week which wouldn't be a disaster.

That‘s crazy if you ask me. Rachele and Callaghan won’t play s**t opposition every week and are just as likely to bum out next. Those are the sort of players you wait and see on. Grundy to Witts is likely to be a decent trade, but I’d personally rather see another week first. English is a decent ruckman to be up against.
Stewart is out for a while and Grundy will play second fiddle to Gawn so they're both gone. King 19 is disgraceful so bye bye to him, he'll probably get injured again soon anyway. Rachele is an elite talent, a ton in a loss is pretty good and we've been hearing about Callaghan all summer. Witts is a solo ruck and highly competitive, gets better every year.

With 36 trades you can roll the dice early, I'm comfortable.

$160k in the bank after all that.

Who could I turn Jones, Hopper and Flanders into if I did do that trade mate?

What do you think of my proposed 2 trades, solid?
Roughly,

Flanders > Ziebell
Hopper > Callaghan - Might be to sideways although you make cash
Jones > Rioli

or

Flanders > Ziebell
Jones > Cole
Hopper > Insert premium mid

Very solid man.

Couple of trades to think over...

A. Jones to Mckenna (lock)
B. Fyfe to Horne Francis (prob hold another week)
C. Jones to Mckenna, Fyfe to Chandler, Clark to Daicos (this feels so good to do lol)

Keep in mind have Dale and Laird on watch next week 😂

Seriously considering Laird or Jelly out for Setters and then I i can upgrade B.Laurie to JHF. Its rare i move premiums on this early but Laird looked terrible and if Kelly misses a week i can half justify moving him on. I really want Setterfield now and with a shit player as my f6 (Davey, Laurie, Greene) i feel like i can make a handy change of structure. (Mackenzie can come off my bench into M8) Food for thought i guess.

So, as I've said, I'm not at all an advocate of knee-jerk Round 1 trades, BUT:

There's certainly a temptation to drop Jelly down to Callaghan (who looks far more advanced than I was anticipating), and then Hunter-not-a-gatherer Clark up to Daicos.

The main appeal? It leaves me $170k for either rookie/mid-pricer corrections next week, or as a warchest for the platoon of SP mids that are going to be much more affordable in a few weeks' time. Plus Daicos is reaching Supreme Gull territory with the way the Pies look for him.

Good chance I end up holding as I avoided the main carnage, but this could end up being the right play.

POST ROUND 1

Here's the watchlist:

Here's the chopping block:

Looking at the watchlist, I reckon I'll need to correct hard in round 3 (trade boost activated).

So I probably have to grab somebody now. That somebody would be Sheezel, as he's the biggest lock of the lot.

So more than likely:

- Bruhn OR Flanders to Sheezel

then assess the rest in round 3

Laird has to be injured or ill, I watched most of the game today, he looked so off the pace (looked like an undersized rookie playing his first game of AFL)
That's a fair bit on your watchlist

Confused Crazy Eyes GIF

The following 3 trades are aggressive, but they get two useless players off my field (Fyfe and Jones). Even if Jones is passed fit, he was horrible. And Fyfe was abysmal as a key forward, I don't know what 40%+ of people were thinking. Also, Jelly is likely out for a week with concussion and it helps me fund the Daicos upgrade. Daicos, JHF and Sheezel all played blinders in week 1, and I want them all, now!

Trade 1: Fyfe to Sheezel.
Trade 2: L. Jones to Daicos.
Trade 3: Jelly to JHF.

Will do rookie corrections next week.

Leaves me with:

Flanders and Hopper on the chopping block for next week.

Definitely doing:
Jones > McKenna

Thinking about:
Hopper > Callaghan
Flanders > JHF with $75k spare.

Expecting to have to trade Fergus Greene and Chesser out for decent rookies next week.
